You pay by the hour for each running instance, with no upfront commitment. Pricing is tied to the AWS Arm64 (Graviton) EC2 instance type you choose, so your cost scales with the compute, memory, storage, or network capacity of that instance. Options span general-purpose, compute-optimized, memory-optimized, storage-optimized, and accelerated families across many generations. Sizes range from small shared types up to 48xlarge and bare-metal configurations. You select one instance type and pay the matching hourly rate. Larger instances carry higher hourly rates. The software runs on top of the EC2 infrastructure you provision.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
The hourly software rate meters running instance time. A fully stopped instance does not accrue the per-hour software charge. You may still pay AWS for attached storage while the instance is stopped, but the listing's software fee counts only active running hours.
Each dimension maps to one AWS Arm64 (Graviton) EC2 instance type running this operating system. The instance name sets the CPU count, memory, storage, and network capacity. A bare-metal (metal) option gives direct hardware access, while standard sizes run as virtual machines on shared hardware.
Each running instance bills independently at its own hourly rate. Your total is the sum across all active instances. Running more instances, or larger sizes, raises the hourly total. There is no upfront commitment, so cost tracks how many instance-hours you consume.

Usage instructions
Use the image to start an instance of your choice in Amazon EC2. Once the instance is running connect to it using a Secure Shell (SSH) client as 'ec2-user' and the configured SSH key. The instance is connected to the SUSE update infrastructure to receive updates. Use the transactional-update command to update the system or install additional packages.
