Druva SaaS data protection provides simplicity, security and savings compared to legacy solutions. Enhance data security and cyber resilience by protecting workloads across cloud, data centers and remote sites from a single platform.

    Overview

Druva provides a SaaS platform that radically simplifies backup, recovery, and DR of modern workloads in remote offices, data centers, and the cloud. Start protecting files (Windows, Linux, Amazon FSx, Amazon EFS), VMs (VMware, Hyper-V, Amazon EC2, Azure VM), DBs (Oracle/MS-SQL), and NAS storage wherever they run in minutes with no software, hardware, or support contracts. Druva scales on demand to protect 1000s of systems and PBs of data with secure, offsite storage of data for compliance and DR. By reducing complexity and infrastructure dependencies Druva can cut your data protection TCO by up to 40% compared to legacy solutions.

    • Intuitive and easy user experience: Built-in workflow templates to configure and schedule policies globally or regionally with role-based access controls (RBAC).
    • Massive storage reduction: Global source deduplication reduces network bandwidth and storage utilization across cloud storage tiers.
    • Automated long-term retention: Tier unique blocks to cold storage or backup large files directly to AWS S3 Glacier.
    • More than ransomware protection: Go beyond protection to detect, respond, and recover faster.
    • One-click Cloud DR: Enhances business resilience with automated and orchestrated failover/failback and unlimited testing.

Druva Phoenix Business: All workloads, 1-2 sites Druva Phoenix Enterprise: Multiple sites, admins, & regions, DRaaS (option)

    Highlights

    • SaaS backup & recovery reduces costs up to 40% by eliminating complexity and costs found in legacy backup solutions. Global deduplication, automated tiering for long-term retention, and archiving to cold storage drive greater storage savings.
    • Cloud DR: Enhance backup and recovery with seamless failover of VMs into customer-owned Amazon VPC. When a disaster occurs, backup snapshots are used to launch Amazon EC2 instances which can recover any number of VMs in under 30 minutes.
    • Safe & secure: Zero-trust architecture eliminates SSH access to production nodes. Backup data encrypted in-flight (TLS) and at rest (AES-256) with unique keys controlled by customers. Nothing executes on storage, thwarting ransomware.

Centralized management has improved visibility while pricing and setup remain challenging

    Reviewed on Sep 18, 2025
Review from a verified AWS customer

What is our primary use case?

The typical use case for Druva Data Security Cloud  is for backup protection, which prevents ransomware and multiple security threats. The architecture is not complex.

    What is most valuable?

The best features of this solution depend on specific customer use cases and scenarios.

The centralized management console in this solution and AI-driven analytics are good features.

The automated backup and recovery workflows are quite effective.

    What needs improvement?

They could integrate an EDR tool during backup. By integrating with that tool, they could easily rectify cyberattacks, miscellaneous attacks, and ransomware. It can prevent ransomware when data is in transit, not just at rest.

They can improve their product quality for Salesforce  as they don't have the capability to run that business without Technobind.

They should consider supporting additional workloads in their tenant. They need multiple tenants where they can provide protection. For example, if a customer is using ESG cloud, they should plan for backup support and other data centers such as Control-S and many more.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have two years of experience with Druva Data Security Cloud .

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

The stability is quite good, but they still have to work on many aspects.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Druva Data Security Cloud is a scalable solution.

How are customer service and support?

Technical support for Druva is excellent with a rating of 10.

How would you rate customer service and support?

    Positive

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I have worked with Commvault, Veeam, and Veritas.

    How was the initial setup?

The initial setup of Druva Data Security Cloud is complex.

    What was our ROI?

The return on investment includes cost savings, time savings, and other measurable benefits.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

Prices for the solution are quite high.

What other advice do I have?

This review has a rating of 6 out of 10.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

    Cloud

If public cloud, private cloud, or hybrid cloud, which cloud provider do you use?

    Chris T.

Druva is very easy to work with and easy to use their tools and monitoring.

What do you like best about the product?
I have confidence that my backups are safe. The dashboard is easy to use. Customer support has been very quick when I need somebody. It was easy to install, especially for a nutanix environment.
What do you dislike about the product?
No bare-metal backups, which for us is no longer a big deal. Dashboard can be a little overwhelming at first and confusing to navigate, but you get used to the interface very quickly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
    Providing off-site backup solutions.

Druva Data Security Cloud: Reliable SaaS-Based Data Protection

    Reviewed on Sep 16, 2025
    Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
Druva is easy to use, with a clean dashboard that makes backups and restores straightforward even for non-specialists. Implementation was simple since it’s fully cloud-native, with no hardware to manage, though setting up policies and roles required some planning. My frequency of use is regular, as I check backup status, test restores, and run compliance reports. The number of features is strong, covering automated backups, ransomware protection, compliance tracking, and endpoint coverage. Integration is smooth with platforms like AWS, Microsoft 365, and Salesforce, giving us centralized data protection.
What do you dislike about the product?
While the platform is user-friendly, the reporting features could be more customizable for detailed compliance needs. Customer support is knowledgeable, but response times for advanced queries can sometimes be slower than expected.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Druva Data Security Cloud solves the challenge of managing backups and data protection without relying on on-premises infrastructure. It eliminates hardware costs and reduces administrative overhead. It also addresses risks like accidental deletion, insider threats, and ransomware by providing fast, reliable restores. The centralized dashboard improves visibility across workloads, which saves time and ensures compliance. This has benefited me by reducing complexity, improving security, and increasing confidence in our data protection strategy.
