What do you like best about the product?

Vimeo was the professional and ad-free way of sharing project-related videos, presentation recordings, and review walkthroughs with external teams and stakeholders.

For example, during project discussions and documentation reviews, I used Vimeo to upload presentation recordings and technical walkthrough videos instead of sharing large raw files through email. The video quality remained clear, and the privacy controls helped restrict access only to intended users.

I also found the video embedding and sharing workflow useful because stakeholders could directly view recordings through links without downloading large files. The clean UI and organized dashboard made it easier to manage multiple uploaded videos during ongoing coordination activities.Another feature that improved workflow efficiency was the analytics and viewer tracking, which helped confirm whether shared recordings were viewed by external teams during review cycles.

From a performance perspective, video uploads, playback, and processing remained stable even for longer recordings. The onboarding experience was also straightforward because uploading, organizing, and sharing videos required minimal setup effort.

I also used AI-assisted subtitle and transcription features occasionally during presentation-sharing activities, which reduced manual effort while preparing recorded walkthroughs.

What do you dislike about the product?

One limitation I noticed is that some advanced collaboration, branding, and storage-related features are restricted to higher pricing plans.

I also felt that certain integrations and customization settings require additional setup effort compared to simpler sharing platforms.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Before using Vimeo, project walkthrough recordings, technical presentations, and review videos were mostly shared through email attachments or cloud storage links, which created file-size limitations and inconsistent playback quality.

While sharing project review recordings and technical explanation videos with external stakeholders, large files often required compression or manual transfer methods, which slowed communication.

Vimeo solved this by providing a centralized and professional platform for hosting, streaming, and securely sharing recorded content through direct links and embedded playback.

This improved collaboration speed, reduced large-file transfer issues, and created a more organized workflow for sharing technical walkthroughs and presentation recordings during project coordination activities.

The analytics and viewer insights also improved visibility by helping track whether important recordings had been accessed during review discussions.

The video play window is clean and with many customisation options and not cluttered like YouTube.

Free plan is extremely restrictive with only low quality video download options and not much edit options available

It is a video hosting platform, it is fast and easily sharable that makes my work easy

Vimeo is great for hosting videos. We use it specifically to host all of our video projects that we can link for our clients to either download the video or use it to embed on their own websites. I like it best for the hosting abilities.

What do you dislike about the product?

What I dislike about Vimeo is probably the amount of space they give you for video for the price plan that you're in. It gives me the feeling that I'm about to run out of space or not enough and have to start deleting videos already on the platform.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

It is solving the ability for me to host videos on the site. So that I do not need to find an alternative and the pricing is decent. Our clients are able to download the videos and or use the links to embed on their own sites. We also use it to embed on our property websites for clients to use.

The platform is intuitive to use, with clean organization tools that make managing videos simple. I also really value the privacy and sharing controls, which make it easy to securely share content with specific audiences and collaborate with teammates or clients without friction.

What do you dislike about the product?

While Vimeo offers a strong overall experience, some of the more advanced features can come with a bit of a learning curve, and certain capabilities are gated behind higher-tier plans. It would be helpful to have a bit more flexibility and access to features without needing to upgrade.

Vimeo is solving the challenge of hosting and sharing high-quality video content in a professional, secure, and ad-free environment. Instead of relying on more public platforms, it allows us to control how and where our videos are viewed, manage access permissions, and gather feedback in one place
