This is a repackaged open-source software product wherein additional charges apply for support and for providing it in a simple consumable AMI.CouchDB provides the simplest form of replication and no other database is so simple to replicate.It is a NoSQL database that follows document storage where each field is uniquely named and contains values of various data types such as text, number, Boolean, lists, etc.The CouchDB file layout follows all the features of ACID properties.It also provides database-level security and the permissions are divided into readers and admins where readers can do both the read and write to the database.CouchDB facilitates you to keep authentication open via a session cookie-like a web application.

You pay by the hour for the EC2 instance size you run. This CouchDB image bills usage against your chosen instance type, so pricing scales with compute power. The options fall into two families. Burstable T2 and T3/T3a types (nano, micro, small, medium, large, xlarge, 2xlarge) suit lighter or variable workloads. General-purpose M5, M5a, M6a, M6i, M7a, M7i and compute C7i types (large through 12xlarge) handle steadier or heavier demand. Larger sizes carry more vCPU and memory, so their hourly rate rises accordingly. You pick the size that matches your workload.

Each unit is one running EC2 instance of your chosen type, billed per hour. The rate bundles the CouchDB software image with 24/7 support. You pay the hourly software charge plus the standard AWS infrastructure cost for that instance. Larger instance types carry more vCPU and memory, so their hourly rate is higher.
The software fee meters only while the instance runs. A stopped instance accrues no hourly software charge. You may still pay underlying AWS storage fees for the attached volume that holds your CouchDB data. Restarting the instance resumes the hourly software charge automatically.
Burstable T2 and T3/T3a types bank credits during low activity and spend them during short spikes. They suit variable or light workloads.
