Overview
This product has charges associated with it for hardening and maintenance. This Citadel VM is secured using 400+ security controls and validated using Citadel Audit. This AMI has been hardened by security professionals to meet the rigorous standards of the PCI DSS.
Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 provides a secure, stable, and high performance execution environment to develop and run cloud and enterprise applications. This Citadel VM is updated and maintained regularly.
Launching an image hardened according to the trusted security configuration baselines prescribed by a CIS Benchmark will reduce cost, time, and risk to an organization. This Citadel VM is configured with the majority of the recommendations included in the corresponding CIS Benchmark. The Level 1 Profile settings within the CIS Benchmark have been applied with the intent to provide a clear security benefit without inhibiting the utility of the technology beyond acceptable means.
Included with this VM is documentation, a security report provided by Citadel Audit, and a PCI workbook which describes what hardening steps were taken to meet each PCI requirement as well as what actions are still necessary to perform.
Please note that this is the default Hardened Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 AMI that our security professionals recommend. Citadel provides ongoing security and maintenance updates on a regular basis to all instances running Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 AMIs.
