You pay through a single dimension: RWX service credits. This is usage-based billing, so you consume credits only as you run workloads. There are no fixed tiers or instance sizes to choose upfront. Credits draw down as you use compute for CI/CD, cloud sandboxes, and container image builds. Compute is measured by the second per vCPU, and each task can pick its own VM size. This means your cost scales with actual runtime and the compute shape each task needs, rather than a flat per-run or per-user charge.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
Credits draw down based on compute time. RWX meters by the second per vCPU. A task using more cores or running longer consumes more credits. You also choose a VM size per task, so credit use reflects both the runtime and the compute shape each task picks.
No. RWX caches each task's filesystem output. When files and commands match, downstream tasks hit the cache instead of rerunning. Parallel shards reuse shared setup rather than repeating it. Targeted retries rerun only the failing task, so you pay the setup cost once rather than on every retry.
All three run on the same RWX runtime and draw from the same credit pool. Each is metered the same way: by the second per vCPU, with per-task VM sizing. Test Suite Management is billed separately, based on the number of test results uploaded.
