An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.

Usage instructions
- Launch the instance
Launch from this AMI using a 64-bit x86 (amd64) instance type, such as t3.large or larger. Arm/Graviton instance types are not supported. Configure the security group to allow inbound HTTPS (port 443) and SSH (port 22). Port 80 is required only if you intend to use Let's Encrypt certificates. Select an SSH key pair at launch.
- Connect to the instance
Connect over SSH as the user ubuntu:
ssh -i /path/to/your-key.pem ubuntu@<instance-public-ip>
A welcome message displays the deployment steps. All commands are run from the deployment directory:
cd ~/raynetone
- Configure the deployment
./setup.sh
The interactive helper asks for:
Certificate mode: supply your own certificates, generate a self-signed local PKI automatically, or use Let's Encrypt. Base domain: your hostnames are derived from it, e.g. example.com produces raynetone.example.com. Outbound proxy: if outbound traffic must use an HTTP(S) proxy. Cloud Runner: whether to enable the optional runner component. License details: optional; enables automatic activation.
The helper is safe to re-run at any time and preserves previously generated settings and passwords. When it finishes, it offers to start the deployment.
- Deploy
./deploy.sh raynetone
This deploys the platform in the correct order, performs one-time initialization, and waits for every service to report healthy.
Optional modules can be deployed afterwards:
./deploy.sh datahub ./deploy.sh raysami
- Ensure your hostname resolves
Raynet One is accessed by hostname, not by IP address. Create DNS records pointing your hostnames (raynetone.<domain>, raynetone-keycloak.<domain>, and any optional module hostnames) to the instance, or add equivalent entries to the hosts file on the machines you browse from.
- Sign in
Open https://raynetone .<your-domain> and sign in as user root. The initial password is generated uniquely for your deployment and stored on the instance at:
cat ~/raynetone/keycloak/init/initial_password
If you chose the self-signed certificate option, import ~/raynetone/certs/rootCA.crt into the trust store of the machines that will access Raynet One to avoid browser warnings.
- Manage the deployment
./deploy.sh status: show deployment status docker compose ps: list running services docker compose logs -f <service>: view service logs

What do you like best about the product?
RayVentory excels in its ability to provide comprehensive discovery across various IT environments, including on-premises, cloud, and hybrid infrastructures. Rayventory is highly scalable, capable of handling large and complex IT environments with ease. Automation is a key feature of RayVentory, streamlining the software asset management process and reducing manual effort
What do you dislike about the product?
API integration with some third-party ITAM tools is difficult in Rayventory. While functional, the user interface of RayVentory could be more intuitive and visually appealing. Enhancing the availability and quality of support resources could help users resolve issues more efficiently.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Raynet discovery solution (Scan engine) is helping to discover & inventor of hardware devices in the organization based on the IP ranges. Raynet provides precise information about the discovered devices from the zero-touch solution which is based on either agent-based or agentless method.

What do you like best about the product?
I like its collect, curate, enrich process. In every step, it works like discover, collect, aggregate. Its process is so clean that we can trust it.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have used this tool a lot of times but haven't seen anything that I don't like about it because it's a very good product and its service is also very good.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solves our IT Asset management issues. Using this product, we can easily manage our IT Assets and also in cloud integration of our data, it helps a lot to manage in a proper way.
