MONITOR YOUR ENTIRE ESTATE FROM A SINGLE PANE OF GLASS
SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL and MongoDB, all in one place. Get a unified, web-based view of all your instances, availability groups, clusters and virtual machines, no matter where they are located. If anything needs attention, quickly drill down for detailed performance statistics.
As your estate expands, your monitoring keeps pace. Regardless of where your servers are hosted, you manage your entire environment from a single pane of glass. Stay on top of configurations, access rights, installed versions and patches, licensing, disk usage statistics, backups and more, all in one place.
OPTIMIZE CLOUD PERFORMANCE AND CONTROL SPEND
Moving databases to Amazon RDS for SQL Server, Amazon Aurora or Amazon RDS for PostgreSQL does not have to mean accepting gaps in monitoring coverage or building your performance picture from scratch. Redgate Monitor gives you full visibility into database performance before, during and after migration, so your team can baseline workloads, detect performance drops at the moment they occur and optimize resource usage across your cloud environment, without surprises at go live. Confidently migrate and optimize your databases to AWS, knowing your monitoring keeps pace every step of the way, with consistent real time coverage across hybrid and cloud-native environments from one central dashboard.
Virtual machine cost data flows directly from AWS into the platform, turning cloud cost unpredictability into financial control. See allocated versus actual usage across vCPUs, memory and storage for every virtual machine in your estate, compare spend period over period and identify where provisioning significantly exceeds actual consumption. Right sizing decisions become evidence based, directly supporting alignment with the cost optimization and performance efficiency pillars of the AWS Well Architected Framework.
FAST DIAGNOSIS AND PROACTIVE RESOLUTION
Optimize performance, ensure security and mitigate potential risks across your database estate with instant problem diagnosis, intelligent alerting and deep dive performance metrics. Your DBA team gets the context-rich visibility to stay ahead of issues and resolve problems before they affect users, ensuring a stable, high-performing environment at every stage of your cloud journey.
With customizable alerts tailored to your environment, the answers to the health of your estate are always at your fingertips. Drill down into potential issues and resolve them before they become a problem. Every deployment is tracked alongside key database metrics on the instance timeline, so when unusual behavior follows a release you know exactly where to start your investigation.
SAFEGUARD DATA SECURITY AND ENSURE COMPLIANCE
Minimize the manual effort involved in ensuring data security and compliance. Instant visibility into past and present user access rights across your entire estate means your team always knows who has access to what and when that changed. Automated security auditing checks configurations continuously against the CIS Benchmark for SQL Server 2022, providing a clear compliance trail without additional workload on the DBA team. Permission tracking delivers an always current, always available view of access across your estate, so your team meets compliance requirements without carrying the audit burden manually.
ENTERPRISE RESILIENCE, TRUSTED AT SCALE
A high availability architecture runs multiple Base Monitors behind load balancers, ensuring monitoring continuity even when individual components require maintenance or fail. The Data API integrates monitoring data into existing operational tooling, reporting systems and management dashboards, so the intelligence your DBAs rely on reaches every team that needs it. Trusted by 92% of the Fortune 100 and relied upon to monitor more than one million databases worldwide, Redgate brings 25 years of database expertise to the world's most demanding estates.

AWS Marketplace now accepts line of credit payments through the PNC Vendor Finance program. This program is available to select AWS customers in the US, excluding NV, NC, ND, TN, & VT.
Pricing is based on the duration and terms of your contract with the vendor. This entitles you to a specified quantity of use for the contract duration. If you choose not to renew or replace your contract before it ends, access to these entitlements will expire.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
This listing offers one pricing dimension: the 1 Server Enterprise Tier, sold as a contract. You buy one license per server you monitor, no matter how many database instances run on that server. To scale, you add more server licenses as your estate grows. Pricing is custom, so you contact Redgate directly for a quote. The Enterprise tier covers advanced alerting, security, and scale capabilities for large or regulated estates.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts as one server license for billing?
One license covers one server, regardless of how many database instances run on it. For cloud PaaS setups, one license covers a single node, so multi-node clusters need a license per node. Virtual machines and cluster nodes each require their own license.
How do I add capacity as my database estate grows?
You buy additional server licenses as you monitor more servers. Each new server needs its own license. The product is built to scale with growing, multi-platform estates, so you expand coverage by adding licenses rather than changing tier structure.
Which database platforms and hosting environments does one license cover?
A server license covers monitoring across supported database types on that server, whether hosted on-premises, in the cloud, or hybrid. The product monitors multiple database platforms from one dashboard, so a single license is not limited to one database type per server.

Easy, Intuitive SQL Server Insights That Save Time And Effort
Reviewed on Jul 28, 2026
Review provided by G2
What do you like best about the product?
It is easy to use and helps to quickly and easily surface difficult to get information about SQL Server, e.g. digging through DMV's will get the same information, but would take a lot longer. The price provides good value for money too. The UI is responsive and intuitive so senior leadership can understand what the is being shown too
What do you dislike about the product?
I have quite a specific issue, where I want to be able to track execution plan changes for a particular query, and while the information is in Redgate, it takes many clicks to get to is
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps to prove/disprove that SQL Server is the issue as the DB is the foundation for the applications we are building. It also allows us to identify the issue with the DB if it is a DB issue much more quickly than would be possible otherwise, leading to faster resolutions for customer tickets

What do you like best about the product?
The setup/UI is very simple to learn while offering a high level of customisability. Initial setup is fast and easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have found no major issues with RedGate Monitor. There are free monitoring solutions available, but I have found them to be less functional and not fully supported.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's biggest benefit to us is allowing to delve into the history of performance issues, allowing more detailed troubleshooting of temporary problems, or problems significant enough where restoring performance takes priority over understanding the trigger

What do you dislike about the product?
So far I have not found a real point that I dislike, coming from another product it took some time to adjust to the new way of presenting data, that's all!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For example I was able to immediately spot a problem on one database that was not showed by the previous product and to solve it proactively.

What do you like best about the product?
Works seamlessly across platform, single pane of glass view. Equipped with Monitor AI to automatically surface bottlenecks. Avoids “alert fatigue” by letting admins prioritize critical issues. Enterprise edition includes permission visibility and auditing tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
Its high licensing costs, resource consumption on large estates, and limited customization in alerts and reporting
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It identifies slow queries, blocking, deadlocks, and resource spikes, and it alerts me before failures escalate into outages. It also solves the problem of being overwhelmed by irrelevant notifications, and it can track permissions and changes for auditing.
