Usage instructions
Prerequisites: This product requires the following components to be installed and configured before deployment:
- MongoDB: Used as the primary database. Can be deployed locally, on MongoDB Atlas, or AWS DocumentDB.
- RabbitMQ: Acts as the message broker. Can be run locally via Docker or a managed service.
- NGINX: Required as a reverse proxy to securely route traffic to application containers.
Installation instructions for each component are provided in their respective sections below.
1: AWS Account Setup Ensure you have an AWS account with permissions to deploy ECS/EKS services.

MongoDB Setup Run MongoDB locally or via managed services like Atlas or AWS DocumentDB. Note the connection string: mongodb://<username>:<password>@<host>:<port>/<database>

RabbitMQ Setup Run RabbitMQ locally using the rabbitmq:3-management image or via managed services. Note the management UI and connection URL: AMQP URL: amqp://<username>:<password>@<host>:<port> Management UI: http://<host>:15672 (default login: guest/guest)
4: Domain and SSL Setup Point your domain e.g. collabrix.works to the server IP. Use a valid SSL certificate:
- certificate.crt: Public certificate
- private.key: Private key
- ca_bundle.crt: Intermediate chain (recommended) You can use Lets Encrypt or a commercial CA.
5: Pull Docker Images from AWS ECR Authenticate and pull required images: docker login -u AWS -p <auth_token> <aws_account_id>.dkr.ecr.<region>.amazonaws.com docker pull <aws_account_id>.dkr.ecr.<region>.amazonaws.com/<image>:<tag>
- Configure Environment Files Create an .env file and mail.env file inside /home/collabrix/backend folder using below reference:
