Agent engagement for Amazon Connect: a live, fair leaderboard in the agent workspace, challenges and head-to-head races, rewards with budgets, coaching with before-and-after results, Slack and Teams, a results report and a floor wallboard. Scores come only from Connect data, never self-reporting. Runs in your own AWS account. 30-day trial.
Arena turns the activity your Amazon Connect instance already produces into a live, fair leaderboard that agents see inside the Connect agent workspace. Points come from handled contacts, Contact Lens evaluations and customer sentiment, post-contact survey answers, schedule adherence, kudos from teammates and quality streaks. Quality outweighs speed by design: a fast contact earns a little, a good evaluation earns a lot, and an evaluation auto-fail removes points that no setting can soften. Agents see their points, rank, level, badges and streak, can measure against their own best instead of the team, set a personal goal, and redeem points from a catalog your supervisors define.
Supervisors get a console with the team leaderboard, flags for agents gone quiet or trading volume for quality, a scoring mix per team, and challenges measured from Connect data rather than self-reports: escalation and evaluation targets, weighted races with qualifiers and prizes, head-to-head duels and team versus team. Rewards are approved against a monthly budget, spot awards recognise what a supervisor saw, and a coaching workflow turns a flag into an agreed action with a follow-up date and before-and-after numbers. Kudos, reward requests, challenge results, spotlights and a daily digest reach Slack, Microsoft Teams or email. A results report compares any period with the one before it, and a wallboard runs on a floor TV from a sign-in-free link, with your company name, colours and logo.
Arena deploys as a CloudFormation stack into your own AWS account and agent data never leaves it; the only thing reported outside is a daily count for billing. Setup is a launch link from this listing, two settings in the Connect console, and sign-ins managed from the console. On first run it loads up to 90 days of history from Connect so the first screen is not empty. Per-agent rows export nightly to your warehouse or through a read API, the console and panel install on phones as an app, and an ingest endpoint lets other platforms feed the same leaderboard. Each release ships with notes and a help center at arenaforconnect.com, and the stack tells supervisors when a newer version exists.

You pay by the active agent-day. One unit is one agent with scored activity on a single day, measured in UTC. There are no tiers or fixed seats to choose. Your cost scales directly with how many agents are active each day, so a day with fewer active agents counts fewer units. The system sends one daily count to AWS Marketplace for billing. Arena runs inside your own AWS account, so the AWS resources it uses are billed separately at normal AWS rates.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What counts as one active agent-day for billing?
One active agent-day is one agent who had scored activity on a single day, measured in UTC. An agent with no scored activity on a given day is not counted. The system counts these agents once each night and sends only that number to AWS Marketplace, with no names or identifiers.
Does my bill change if some agents are inactive on a given day?
Yes. You only pay for agents with scored activity each day. A day with fewer active agents counts fewer units. If an agent records no scored activity, no charge accrues for that agent that day. Your cost rises and falls with daily active agent counts.
Are the AWS resources Arena uses included in this per-agent-day price?
No. Arena runs as a stack inside your own AWS account. The AWS resources it creates are billed to your account at normal AWS rates, separate from the per-agent-day charge. The per-agent-day price covers only the software metered through AWS Marketplace.
