You pay by the hour for the EC2 instance size you run. Each dimension maps to a specific instance type, so you choose the compute size that fits your workload. Larger instances with more CPU and memory bill at higher hourly rates. The list spans general-purpose, compute-optimized, and memory-optimized families across several generations. There is no upfront commitment. You start and stop instances as needed, and charges accrue only while an instance runs. The software runs on Windows and comes as a hardened Adobe ColdFusion machine image ready to launch on AWS.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
Each dimension bills per hour that its matching EC2 instance runs. One hour covers the software licence plus the compute for that specific instance size. You pay for each running instance separately. The rate reflects the CPU and memory of the instance family and size you select.
Software charges accrue only while an instance runs. A stopped or powered-off instance stops accruing hourly software charges. You may still pay underlying AWS storage fees for the attached volumes, but the ColdFusion licence meters running hours only.

Usage instructions
Once the instance is running, connect to it using a Remote Desktop Connection (RDP) by right clicking the instance in the EC2 console and selecting Connect. Once connected with RDP, an installation wizard will start and will guide you through configuring your Adobe ColdFusion service.
