Overview
Crownpeak is a cloud-first Digital Experience Management (DXM) platform designed to help global enterprises deliver consistent, high-quality digital experiences across web, mobile, and other digital channels. Its SaaS-based architecture offers exceptional speed, flexibility, and scalability, enabling organizations to launch and manage complex digital ecosystems efficiently while meeting brand, accessibility, and compliance requirements.
Crownpeak DXM platform is built around a decoupled CMS that separates content creation from front-end delivery, allowing marketers and developers to work in parallel without disrupting workflows. This headless and hybrid approach gives businesses the freedom to deliver content across multiple channels and touchpoints using any front-end technology, ensuring future-proof scalability and seamless omnichannel experiences.
Key capabilities of the Crownpeak platform include:
-
Cloud-native Web Content Management (WCM) that allows global teams to create, edit, and publish content easily, with built-in workflow management, role-based access, and localization tools to support multilingual sites and regional governance.
-
Digital Accessibility & Quality Management (DQM), a fully integrated solution that scans and monitors websites for compliance with accessibility standards (such as WCAG), branding guidelines, SEO best practices, and regulatory policies. This ensures digital experiences meet user expectations and legal obligations while reducing risk and manual oversight.
-
Personalization engine that enables marketers to deliver relevant content and tailored experiences based on user behavior, geography, device, or profile attributes, enhancing engagement and conversion rates.
-
Flexible integration framework that connects seamlessly with enterprise technology stacks, including CRM, eCommerce, DAM, PIM, analytics, and marketing automation platforms, enabling centralized data flows and a more cohesive customer experience.
-
Governance and compliance controls that support enterprises operating in regulated industries or across multiple jurisdictions. The platform supports GDPR, HIPAA, and other data protection frameworks, with tools for consent management, audit trails, and security controls.
-
Headless and hybrid deployment options, allowing development teams to leverage modern front-end frameworks while still benefiting from Crownpeak enterprise-grade content authoring and workflow capabilities.
-
Rapid deployment and ease of use that empower business users to manage digital content without IT bottlenecks. Crownpeak intuitive interface and SaaS delivery model eliminate the need for heavy infrastructure or complex upgrades.
-
Scalability and performance through a globally distributed cloud infrastructure, ensuring content is delivered reliably and securely at speed, regardless of user location.
-
Multi-site and multi-language management tools that simplify the orchestration of localized digital experiences from a single platform, enabling brands to think global, act local and support regional content needs efficiently.
Crownpeaks value lies in its ability to unify content, quality, compliance, and experience management within a single, agile platform. Unlike traditional CMS platforms that require significant customization and infrastructure overhead, Crownpeak provides a future-ready environment that minimizes IT dependency while maximizing business agility.
By leveraging Crownpeak, organizations can accelerate their digital transformation efforts, streamline operations, and deliver engaging, consistent customer experiences across global markets. Customer reviews
Platform has empowered customized, accessible multi-site experiences and supports versatile rollouts
What is our primary use case?
The usual use cases for Crownpeak Digital Experience Management that I work with mostly include enterprise websites, multi-site, and international roll-out, as well as personalization and accessibility.
What is most valuable?
I have found complete customization and very good integration with other systems on the periphery to be the most valuable and useful features of Crownpeak Digital Experience Management .
Crownpeak Digital Experience Management's headless CMS architecture is extremely versatile, and we can really do anything with it, with no limitations.
The compliance tools of Crownpeak Digital Experience Management include accessibility compliance tools and SEO features, and I would say the accessibility is pretty good. It is also completely customizable to the individual website, helping to configure out-of-the-box automatic checks adjusted to the specific programming on your website, going beyond what you might expect from a browser extension.
What needs improvement?
Customer support is very responsive, but migration could use more work, although they are actually doing a lot with that right now to automate website migration. Migration is a new area, and of course, it could use more work; I would rate it maybe an eight or nine, knowing that there is always room for improvement.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been working with Crownpeak Digital Experience Management for over five years.
How are customer service and support?
Whenever I had questions for customer support, they always answered very swiftly, sometimes multiple times per day, and were very interested in helping us resolve issues.
What other advice do I have?
I work with Crownpeak Digital Experience Management FirstSpirit SM CMS, and it is basically a DQM tool also.
Regarding Crownpeak Digital Experience Management's visual workflow tools, I know they have those, but I do not use them myself, so I cannot say much about that one.
Multi-site management is extremely important for any website that has multiple languages or different pages for different countries. In my experience, built-in AB testing is always very important for the final success of any website if you want to prove that certain changes to the pages are worth the investment, and I actually wish more customers would use it.
