Deploy a pre-configured, self-hosted JupyterHub and JupyterLab in minutes. It uses the upstream projects without product-specific forks. Websoft9 Console helps configure HTTPS, backups, monitoring, and upgrades with rollback
JupyterHub runs on AWS as a hardened AMI for self-hosted deployment. The Websoft9 Console provides HTTPS, backups, monitoring, upgrades with rollback, and app deployment, modification, and redeployment, plus one-click templates from the built-in app store.
What is included?
JupyterHub, JupyterLab, Python, Nginx, Docker, and Websoft9 Console.
Use Cases
Team data science, machine learning, research, and classroom notebook environments
What You Pay For?

JupyterHub on AWS - Preconfigured, Hardened, Ready in Minutes
Pricing is based on actual usage, with charges varying according to how much you consume. Subscriptions have no end date and may be canceled any time. Alternatively, you can pay upfront for a contract, which typically covers your anticipated usage for the contract duration. Any usage beyond contract will incur additional usage-based costs.
Additional AWS infrastructure costs may apply. Use the AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate your infrastructure costs.
If you are an AWS Free Tier customer with a free plan, you are eligible to subscribe to this offer. You can use free credits to cover the cost of eligible AWS infrastructure. See AWS Free Tier for more details. If you created an AWS account before July 15th, 2025, and qualify for the Legacy AWS Free Tier, Amazon EC2 charges for Micro instances are free for up to 750 hours per month. See Legacy AWS Free Tier for more details.
You pay by the hour for the EC2 instance type you run this software on. Each dimension maps to a specific instance size, so your cost scales with the compute you choose. Options span general-purpose (m4, m5, m5d, t2, t3), compute-optimized (c4, c5, c5d, c6a), memory-optimized (r4, r5, r5d, x1, x1e, z1d), GPU (g3, p2, p3), storage-optimized (d2, h1, i3), and FPGA (f1) families. Within each family, larger sizes cost more per hour. You stop paying when you stop the instance. No fixed term applies.
Top-of-mind questions for buyers
What does one hourly unit cover, and what am I actually paying for?
Each hourly unit covers the software running on one EC2 instance of the size you pick. You are charged for every hour that instance runs. The dimension name matches the EC2 instance type, so your software rate tracks the compute, memory, or GPU profile of that size.
Am I still charged if I stop or pause the instance?
The software charge meters running time only. When you stop the instance, the hourly software charge stops. Stopped instances may still incur underlying AWS storage fees for attached volumes, but those are separate from this software charge.
How do I choose between a general-purpose, GPU, or memory-optimized instance?
Pick the instance family that matches your workload. General-purpose families (m, t) suit balanced notebook use. GPU families (g3, p2, p3) suit machine learning. Memory-optimized families (r, x1, z1d) suit large in-memory datasets. The multi-user notebook software runs the same across all families.

An AMI is a virtual image that provides the information required to launch an instance. Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) instances are virtual servers on which you can run your applications and workloads, offering varying combinations of CPU, memory, storage, and networking resources. You can launch as many instances from as many different AMIs as you need.
