I'd like an easy option to send all network traffic through the VPN. Seems a bit of a waste to only route part of it. Not what I was looking for.

This is a configurable setting within OpenVPN. You can enable a setting to route all traffic and not just a particular route. It's a setting that gets set for the clients so when you connect your local network interface will know to just point all traffic to that OpenVPN interface.
