Monitor issues related to Kubernetes cluster

  • July 07, 2022
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best?
Reduce Engineers' time when reading the log files related to the Kubernetes cluster with keyword search and query any index keyword within seconds in any timeframe.
What do you dislike?
With time, the query time will increase due to the heavy logs volume, and elastic search might sometimes hang due to the large volumes of logs data. However, backup old logs and clear would help to keep the elastic search health in a good way.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Monitor the performance issues related to Kubernetes clusters and applications delivered to customers globally in a particular time frame. Furthermore, it helps to display the visual elements in Kibana.

The best solution to manage our logs

  • July 02, 2022
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best?
It allows to search keywords or attributes pushed by fluent D filter in text format and returns JSON documents based on the search keywords and selected time frame. More than going through each Kubernetes log it's easy to search any issue within a few seconds around whole log files.
What do you dislike?
When we use the elastic search API over HTTP it will take much time to return the JSON response when the log files' weight becomes terabytes. However, it can be avoided using backup and clearing the old logs from the storage.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Check the issues in Kubernetes clusters in a minimum amount of time. It helps us to reduce the allocated engineers in the monitoring team and is always helpful when it comes to an issue at the Kubernetes level.

One of the best software products I have ever worked with

  • May 23, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best?
I like three things about Elasticsearch:

1 - Its flexibility
2 - Its reliability
3 - How much the product has evolved over time

I have been using Elasticsearch for some time and even after a few years, I'm still amazed at how flexible and reliable it is. I have been able to use Elasticsearch to ingest millions of events and build queries/dashboards on top of it and every time Elastic has delivered above and beyond.
What do you dislike?
There is very little I do not like about Elastic. Maybe one thing that could see improvement over time is the Kibana UI. Sometimes is not counter-intuitive how it works, especially if you're trying to build complex visualizations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have been mainly using Elasticsearch to benchmark/troubleshoot application performance. We use it as a data sink where we ship hundred of thousands of events, on top of which we build different visualizations to analyze our applications' performance and optimize accordingly.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Elasticsearch is a flexible tool but it might take some time before you can fully experience the benefits of such a flexible piece of software.

ELK - Simple, Easy and Robust Open Search Analytics Solution

  • March 29, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best?
1) Flexibility of integration with almost all the tools and components around the globe.
2) Ease of use.
3) Developer friendly API's and Query mechanism.
4) Super quick.
5) Support for Distributed Computing.
6)Very powerful analytics tool called the Kibana which is the 'K' part of the ELK stack.
What do you dislike?
1) No multi language support for handling request and response. Means, the request and response can be sent andd received in the same language only. No cross language support.
2) Works on near real time. It means there is a lag of atleast 1 sec between the time of data input and the time when the data becomes available for search.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
1) Easy to use, efficient, scalable.
2) Lot of filters provided by Logstash API's which allows integration with almost all the tools and components from different vendors.
3) Powerful and very informative Kibana dashboard. Can be used to index almost all types of data.
4) Supports Distributed Computing. Data is stored across multiple nodes. Hence, making it fault tolerant and resilient.
5) Very powerful tool for visualization of Logs, events that flow across multiple streaming platforms like Kafka, Spark etc.
6) Filtering based on various criteria to narrow down the search results.
7) Search results can be bookmarked, stored in a file, displayed on a console.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
One must definitely consider using Elasticsearch in their enterprise application suite.
Few reasons being:
1) Did not find any other tool which provides so informative visualisation of logs on a user friendly dashboard.
2) JSON based query language which is easy to learn, adopt and use.
3) Can process millions of records with ease.
4) Can be considered if near real time logging is accepted and real time logging is not required.

Elasticsearch is basically a well known tool for the users of ELK stack

  • January 14, 2022
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best?
Elasticsearch is a larger version of Logstash that brings together a smaller amount of data/logs. Elasticsearch creates an index for the data gathered, and one can use that index to fetch the data on Kibana or any other visualization tools to create reports.
What do you dislike?
Elasticsearch is only valid if we are dealing with more significant amounts of data or for companies willing to create reports for archived data of the previous 5 or 10 years.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Elasticsearch is a tool that is one of a kind in the business to deal with more significant amounts of data or logs. Elasticsearch creates an index for the data gathered, and one can use that index to fetch the data on Kibana or any other visualization tools to create reports. It helps companies to lessen the burden of consolidating the data themselves manually.

Need Search Functionality , Try -> ElasticSearch

  • January 10, 2022
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best?
1. Providing all the required stuff for the UI like a Search bar, Auto Suggestions, Filters, Paginations etc..
2. Support of most of the programming languages
3. Their Component Library to reuse and update
4. Scraping the site and providing the required contents in the search
What do you dislike?
Not providing much feasibility on updating the UI components they are providing. Cost-wise it's a little high. Need to increase their trial period. And less tutorial for this
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have added the search bar into our homePage with the help of elastic search. It has provided all the required functionalities for the search, we have not created any API's for it. Less code.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you want to incorporate a scalable search bar with less code implementation then you will definitely like elastic search

Best Website Search Service Provided Here

  • January 05, 2022
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best?
I like the way how the web crawler is scraping all the contents in the website and producing all those details via a search functionality. It makes the developer life more easy by not doing code changes regarding the search functionality.
What do you dislike?
The cost of it is high as well as they are providing very little trial time. As a high price service provider, they need to provide more time to explore and adapt the technologies and service they are offering
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The complete website functionality has been implemented here, it solves the customers life more easy, by typing the actual content they want & get the desired results in a short time. They don't need to explore the whole site for to just get a simple result
