One of the best streaming solutions on the market
What do you like best about the product?
Honestly, Wowza just works. Once you get it set up, it's incredibly reliable for live streams and on-demand video, handling everything from small events to 24/7 channels without breaking a sweat. It plays nicely with any device or browser, which is a huge relief. I also love the flexibility - whether you run it on your own servers or use their cloud, and the APIs are great for integrating into custom setups. Plus, scaling up doesn't mean paying per stream, which saves us serious money.
What do you dislike about the product?
Getting started can be rough - the setup is pretty complex, especially if you're new to streaming. The interface feels a bit dated, especially on mobile, and the licensing has a quirk: your license key isn't locked to your server IP by default, which could let someone else use it (happened to me once - support fixed it, but it was stressful). Direct support also costs extra, and overall, it’s pricey for smaller teams.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It solved our biggest headaches: unreliable streams, buffering, and format issues. Now, we deliver smooth, high-quality video globally without constant troubleshooting. This means happier viewers, fewer support tickets, and more time to focus on growing our business instead of fixing tech fires. For us, it’s all about peace of mind and scalability.
Reliable Platform for No/Low-Latency Video Streaming
What do you like best about the product?
Wowza Streaming is an excellent platform for seamless integration with web applications. We have successfully used it to enable live video streaming from medical devices to the cloud in real-time. This has allowed medical practitioners to view live videos from anywhere, ensuring accessibility and convenience. The platform delivers on its promise of low or no latency, which is critical for real-time applications, especially in the medical field. Overall, it is a reliable and robust platform for live video streaming.
What do you dislike about the product?
While the platform performs exceptionally well, the integration documentation could be improved. Clearer and more detailed documentation would make the setup process smoother and reduce the learning curve for developers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Wowza addresses the challenge of delivering real-time video streams with minimal latency. This is especially critical for applications like medical device video streaming, where delays can impact decision-making and outcomes.

What do you like best about the product?
Wowza Streaming Engine has truly transformed the way we handle live streaming. It's incredibly robust and manages high-quality streams effortlessly. The low-latency performance is quite remarkable, and it integrates smoothly with various protocols, which adds to its versatility. However, I have to say, setting it up isn’t the simplest task—it definitely calls for some technical expertise. Still, if you're on the lookout for a dependable, professional-grade streaming solution, Wowza is absolutely worth the investment. Just be ready to tackle a bit of a learning curve!

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In the past, using our own servers and servers hosted in the cloud for the whole processing and storage has been a real hassle. I am able to let my engineers work on the dashboard rather than managing servers with Wowza.
