Good Database
What do you like best about the product?
Teradata is a solid performance DB and it's easy to fetch and append the data in the DB. Addition of rows of data and importing from data sources is easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
The cost of implementation can be higher at time as compared to other DBs in the market.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Great database with performance and ease of appending data

I have utilized part numerous database virtual products and Teradata is one of them. This item is additionally alluded to as an "information distribution center framework".
I like working with tera data as it gives solid innovation arrangement towards industry information models,data bazaar solidification, distribution center migration,hybrid cloud.. also, numerous different highlights. So much broadened and fits for little and enormous enterprise.

What do you dislike about the product?
Few Syntax are more unique in relation to typical and regular SQL and need ability as we can't skew the database to modern needs and connections are very obsolete

Used it in my Master's school . Good tool for data analysis. Teradata and SQL server are imperative to visualizing data. It aggregates data for faster data loads.

It is pretty simple to use and very user-friendly. Is great for beginners.

Can be slow to load things and sometimes unresponsive.

Teradata have designed a DW database for fast loading of huge data volumes and fast SQL querying.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is not suitable for small transaction OLTP databases.

The Teradata Database easily and efficiently handles complex data requirements and simplifies management of the data warehouse environment.

Teradata is very reliable software. It manages huge amount of data where line of business can access it and have more security over data

Performance compared to other databases Teradata is little bit slow. Many cloud based databases have arrived and beating the performance

it's an opensource distributed SQL query engine!!

we can run analytical query with the data sources of all size and all types , so we can use it in highly scale able systems for analytics , it's easy to integrate it with your older databases , it also provides support for java language , it provides type-1 driver for jdbc(java database connectivity) too.
What do you dislike about the product?
it provides type-1 driver of jdbc which very slow in performance, Quality Of support is not good , pricing is very high!!

we use it with java for analytical queries with different kind of data sources Amazon S3 , MySQL etc.

Just try get your hands dirty on it , it's a highly scale able and easy to use Query engine!!

String to date conversions can be improved in teradata
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Number of rows in table with 8 billions rows in TD is done in just few seconds with low_profile and low_account rights.
There are better user-friendly options

I like that it's fairly easy to use but it has multiple limitations in terms of other providers

Limitations in terms of coding, uploading data and troubleshoots
