Designing and streamlining internal workflows effectively

  • June 27, 2025
  • Review from a verified AWS customer

What is our primary use case?

The experience with Sharepoint 2016 Standard involves using it to adjust and design some applications to create tools for controlling our production line and processes.

We use Sharepoint 2016 Standard as an internal engine to control and make workflows. We designed a specific workflow to monitor the current daily processes in our company.

I used Sharepoint 2016 Standard to design internal processes for endo marketing and to control the internal processes of my company.

What is most valuable?

Sharepoint 2016 Standard is great software where we can configure applications inside the environment that are very useful for my company and other companies. In the recent past, I worked for a German company that had wide application for Sharepoint 2016 Standard. They used a similar application that I worked with, and I brought some applications to my company. They are really very useful.

It is great software. It is expensive. This is really an expensive product, but it is very effective. I know there are other tools we could use, but Sharepoint 2016 Standard is really the best one in my point of view. However, it should be less expensive per user.

What needs improvement?

This is something that people who have deeper knowledge about the tool should contribute to regarding what should be improved. I am just an end-user of some tools created and designed using Sharepoint 2016 Standard.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

When I worked at Siemens, I qualified a new workflow tooling called TIBCO solution. At that time, we paid a lot of money. We should have gone directly to Sharepoint 2016 Standard at that time, but TIBCO was considered the more up-to-date solution. Operating with TIBCO was more difficult than Sharepoint 2016 Standard. I had to maintain software engineers to create the workflows or solutions. With Sharepoint 2016 Standard, you do not have to be a specialist. You just need some training, and after this, you are able to design solutions to make your daily job easier.

What was our ROI?

We use Sharepoint 2016 Standard to design applications that create tools to control our production line and processes. We use it as an internal engine to control and make workflows. We designed a workflow to monitor the current daily processes in our company.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

I considered alternative solutions.

What other advice do I have?

I am the owner of the company and suggest contacting IT people for detailed technical information. On a scale of 1-10, I rate Sharepoint 2016 Standard an 8.

Integration of diverse AI functions and adaptable features provides efficient operational solutions

  • May 20, 2025
  • Review provided by PeerSpot

What is our primary use case?

My experience with Sharepoint 2016 Standard involves working on a project developed for the Justice Department of Quebec for about seven or eight months, where I managed change management, integrated a new system, created training materials, and implemented security measures to protect documents.

Everything has been done in this project, and it is my last one.

Before that, I studied for the National Defense of Canada, tasked with providing strategic management consulting to evaluate AI usage for various programs.

As a program manager, I adapt AI to define business case needs and create business transformation laboratories.

My resume shows I use cyber laboratories to develop applications, and my PMO team works to link our efforts with client strategy, ensuring we meet their needs through a systematic methodology.

Based on my experience, I prefer working with experts in my PMO to ensure we produce systems aligned with client context and needs.

As a user of Sharepoint 2016 Standard, I find it more user-friendly and efficient compared to versions from two or three years ago.

The system upgrades have made it easier to interact with, enhancing my comfort with it.

I provide a user's perspective without being a programmer, which allows me to evaluate the system's usability effectively, and I see that it promotes better efficiency.

I began using Sharepoint 2016 Standard about ten years ago and started seeing success in its implementation compared to other systems.

My experts have guided me to adjust my approaches according to their suggestions, improving my experience with Sharepoint 2016 Standard.

The ease of understanding the system contributes to my ongoing positive evaluation of it.

Currently, I am developing a business transformation expert system that leverages Sharepoint 2016 Standard effectively.

Throughout this process, I've been testing AI capabilities to handle data processing and perform analyses focused on complex organizational transformation programmers.

By evaluating risks and impacts between potential business partners using AI, I create what I call gap assessments and what-why reports that clarify relationships between risks and business interests.

My system generates interactive dashboards tailored to solving business challenges based on existing databases and best practices, positioning it as a valuable tool for navigating complex situations.

What is most valuable?

In my opinion, Sharepoint 2016 Standard has valuable features; many clients believe they need AI integration in their systems, but often find gaps during implementation that require extensive programming to adapt the software to their context.

When I use a business case where all needs and strategies are defined, it's easier to involve AI experts, such as those specializing in medical algorithms to manage diagnostics.

These experts work directly on applications like Sharepoint 2016 Standard to effectively integrate AI, which saves time and increases organizational efficiency.

The document management capabilities of Sharepoint 2016 Standard improve efficiency because I was engaged by IBM to develop a quality management system for their microelectronic products in the early 2000s.

While working there, I developed the Guidewire Policy Center approach for financial institutions to create direct links between applications and policy objectives.

By upgrading efficiency with such systems in my cyber laboratories, I ensure that teams have clear objectives and accountability for results.

The application of AI has been directly linked to our goals, producing excellent dashboards, and I have continuously integrated AI in various contexts with successful outcomes.

My affinity for Sharepoint 2016 Standard stems from its flexibility and adaptability, which I consistently experience as a significant reason for its success in my projects.

This adaptability is key in achieving positive results.

What needs improvement?

From a client's perspective, I encounter several challenges when implementing new systems, and in my last role, they faced significant issues with their previous software.

After assessing their situation, it was clear that continuing on their current path would lead to excessive costs.

Recognizing that Sharepoint 2016 Standard could fulfill their needs efficiently, I engaged my team, and after seven months, we had a fully operational system in place.

As a project manager, I design what I need from AI within Sharepoint 2016 Standard, knowing I always get good results.

While the technical details may not be my forte, I have a network of strong experts working alongside me, making sure our processes succeed according to the plans I put in place.

For how long have I used the solution?

I began using Sharepoint 2016 Standard about ten years ago.

What was my experience with deployment of the solution?

I view the initial setup of Sharepoint 2016 Standard as straightforward.

Each version I experience improves upon the last, allowing for quicker responses to specific requests.

Tasks that used to take a week or more can now be resolved in one to two days, highlighting the efficiency advancements in the system.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Sharepoint 2016 Standard proves to be scalable, as my team consistently upgrades their knowledge without encountering difficulties.

When I ask for solutions, my team provides timely answers, showcasing the system's effectiveness in managing documents across various levels of security.

This adaptability is critical, especially in a sensitive department like the Ministry of Justice, where access must be carefully controlled.

After implementing solutions with Sharepoint 2016 Standard, clients tell me it's perfect and appreciate what we've done together.

This consistent affirmation underscores the effectiveness of our approach.

I maintain a focus on ensuring my team's success alongside our project outcomes.

Everyone in my team is oriented towards achieving positive results, contributing to a success narrative.

My business transformation expert system is well-placed to manage these challenges, especially in forming equilibrium models between partnerships and setting KPIs to assess organizational alignment across complex operational factors.

I would rate Sharepoint 2016 Standard 9 out of 10.
