There are many features about Flexera One which makes one's life easy like ease of implementation, customer support, vast integrations etc. but the standout feature for me is Flexera One is its exceptional visibility and normalization engine, which delivers accurate, unified data across software, hardware, and SaaS assets with help of one of the largest databases of technopedia.

What do you dislike about the product?

There is not much to dislike about Flexera One but there are few things i would like to mention if that can be enhanced it can contribute to more effective overall user experience. Specifically stating it would more options for customized reporting capabilities, simplification/generalization of the left-hand side tabs with only options that are really useful which can reduce confusion.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Flexera One helps in contributing/delivering tangible values to businesses that start right from bringing the visibility into the estate when deployed properly across the estate. Its unified visibility into on-premises, cloud, and SaaS assets, eliminates blind spots and enabling smarter decisions. Then Its integration with Technopedia ensures enriched data on over 5 million products across 100,000 vendors making licensing and visibility easy for end-users. All these directly results into cost optimization and license management. Flexera One reporting is also authorized by many vendors which eventually helps you during the Audits Defense and Risk Mitigation.

What do you like best about the product?

The customization capability are very high. I'm working in a large company with complex organization. Flexera managed to customize the Flexera One in order to best meet our organizational requirements. Every thing which goes beyond ITAM (we were using FNMS in the past) is highly valuable and provides a lot of additional opportunities and potential to replace redundant tools covering the same set of data.

What do you dislike about the product?

Report creation in ITAM. The main issue I had in FNMS is still there in Flexera One. Sometimes I must create large ITAM reports including parameters for device, inventory, assigned user etc. Once the report is saved and run the order of the parameters is completely mixed up, specially once I modify the report eg. by adding an additional parameter the order is again mixed up completely after saving.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Flexera One is providing good insights of the installed base and helps managing audits or even prevent audits from happening. We are just starting ramping up Cloud management and all related areas and are very exited to explore the benefits Flexera One will provide. Additionally we are actually working with Flexera to get the most out of the new sustainability capability and what we already achieved looks very promising.

What do you like best about the product?

In one place all the information and data about can be found and managed for On- Premise, Software as a service and cloud. Creating/generating compliance reports has been made simpler and more insightful with the Flexera one's advanced libraries like Technopedia. It is a unified platform where different teams like ITAM, Finops, SaaS management work which reduces transparency, manual redundant work, time and cost thus increasing the efficiency and optimization of resources.

What do you dislike about the product?

Managing concurrent licenses is a challenge. On larger environment performance can be improved.

Flexera one helps in efficient SaaS management.
Compliance reporting has been made simpler. Interactive dashboards provide deep insights of data. Knowing the environment , managing the asset and licenses in the environment has been made simple.
Cloud management has been empowered by Flexera One brilliantly.
All in all Flexera One has made day to day business less complex.

Flexera One consolidates data from on-prem, cloud, and SaaS environments into a single pane, this helps eliminate silos and gives teams a holistic view of the IT estate.

The reporting module relies heavily on Cognos, which I find restrictive.

UI seems to be quite laggy after recent upgrade and it gets too slow to load certain modules.

Flexera One is helping solve issues around managing IT assets across multiple environments. It gives us better visibility into our customer's hardware, software, and cloud resources, which makes it easier to track usage and optimize costs. By identifying areas where we can save on cloud spend and optimize software licenses, it’s been helping us cut unnecessary expenses. It's also helping us stay compliant, reducing risks and making decision-making much clearer.

Large catalog of policies for each CSP targeting numerous resources.

What do you dislike about the product?

The turnaround time for support is often lengthy. The time of response from initially raising a ticket is 12 hours. Your response may be 6 hours later. On average, experience is one response from each end in 24 hours.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

The integration of multiple cloud service providers is great because it provides a central location to display costs. Additionally, breaks down costs to each account and to the resource level.

Flexera has some very stable modules that work well and offer great insights into our environment.
I use it daily for several tasks.

Upgrades make it more stable and connected among modules but they take some time to be implemented.
