What do you like best about the product?
Our technical department is very satisfied with the Ares Commander software, we had a very easy migration due to its lightweight and organized interface, and the tools/commands provide us with the best and most qualified CAD solutions we need. I also highlight the great cost-benefit of the software and the commercial and technical team at ConceitoCAD that assists us very well in all related matters and always in a timely manner.
What do you dislike about the product?
It does not apply, I do not see relevant points to highlight.

ARES: friendly interface, better than AutoCad

What do you like best about the product?
Similarity to AutoCAD, making it easier for users familiar with AutoCAD to transition.

ARES Commander offers a range of 2D and 3D design tools, allowing users to create detailed and complex designs.

It includes features like parametric constraints, dynamic blocks, and a variety of drawing and editing tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
ARES Commander is available for multiple operating systems, including Windows, macOS, and Linux, providing flexibility for users on different platforms but needs better support on windows because runs slower than macOS.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The performance of ARES Commander has generally been considered satisfactory, with good responsiveness and stability.It supports the DWG file format, which is commonly used in CAD, allowing users to work with files created in AutoCAD.The software's customization options, enabling them to tailor the interface and tools to their specific needs.

What do you like best about the product?
User-friendly environment, how easy and clearly arranged functions are
Possibility to have "Flex license" on which working with remote desktops becomes easy and convenient
Support - no matter if you are an active user or not, support is always ready to help on any issue occurred
What do you dislike about the product?
To be honest there are no big issues which could be mentioned here. Ares commander has all the needed tools. The program is stable and perfectly meets our expectations
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are working with 2D view. We are a glass processing company, mostly "Ares commander" is being used for making drawings for our machinery. It supports different types of file formats, so we have no issues on getting different types of drawings from our clients and easily transform them into needed formats without any information loss. Secondly it is being used during order's entry by the sales department. For them it is essential to have such a tool and by it determine if order could be done, where could be possible faults during production process and so on

With ARES Commander it was possible to work up old plans and to process LASER scans, which otherwise would have taken a lot of time. It is an inexpensive and time-saving solution.

What do you like best about the product?
If you have ever used the other major CAD platform you will be right at home using ARES Commander. I have been 100% satisfied with the performance and ease of use. The major plus is one can actually own the application vs. paying for a subscription.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing that I can think of, I have been 100% satisfied with the feature set and performance.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I do 2D simple drawings used in designing conceptual layouts in the material handling industry. Most of my customers are not versed in CAD so I typically just send them a PDF of the layout. ARES Commander allows me to submit professional drawings that my customer can view on any platform.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Give it a try, it is the base CAD engine for Draftsight as well as CorelCAD, probably many others.

Nothing particular. It has been an easy transition for the user group.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Reduce cost for 2D CAD licenses
Direct integration for 2D CAD files stored in Onshape's vault
Flexibility for users to access and edit data via web or mobile
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The transition from AutoCAD Mechanical has been straightforward. No training was required for experienced 2D CAD users to make the switch.

Stable and well design---Ares Commander is a great product

What do you like best about the product?
I love the program overall, the layout and options rival other products in the same category if not exceeding them. It's a very stable product with all the features that one would expect from a cad program along with some that you would not.
What do you dislike about the product?
Overall I have very few issues with Ares, it's a good program with great support. I guess I would like more customization of colors in the user interface settings rather than just light and dark. I use certain buttons often and changing the color of them might be helpful for locating them quicker.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For my small business its a great savings over the other programs that are available. This is important since I also use another product that's very costly, having a good cad program to deal with basic cad drawings has proved invaluable.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's a good program that is in line with other programs of it's type........easy to learn and very little retraining time
