Relational DB without the cost.

What do you like best about the product?
Free DB platform with large user base and plenty of documentation/crowd support.
What do you dislike about the product?
Index tuning isn't as straight forward as it could be.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using triggers and views to incorporate business logic that would otherwise be maintained in separate applications. Benefit is consistency across sites sharing a DB.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Set it up and try it out. Play around with FULLTEXT indexing, triggers, stored procedures and views.

Easy and straightforward to use. Makes for easy programming and debugging. Its reliable and works well with large reporting

Not much. Some of the database administration features could be better.

What do you like best about the product?
It is a stable database engine, free and available in lot of platforms such as Windows, Linux and others.
What do you dislike about the product?
Graphical clients are usually payment or unstable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Used mostly for developing Wordpress pages, and web applications that needs data persistence.

Take a look on it. Test it and give a change. It worth it.

What do you like best about the product?
I consider MySQL is easy to use and most secure database management system. It provide the facility of cluster servers and master/slave replication configurations. This is a cheap and fast to manage database of
project .
What do you dislike about the product?
There are few stability issues as it not support large database size .There are so many limitations which cause many problem for a big project.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Generally I use MySQL for all my small project .I find that it is very easy to use .The best part is that it provide a complete solution for the eCommerce businesses with unique database server requirements.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
MySQL is good database for software product. Easy management and administration. I would like to recommend all developers to use it.
