Best open source database
What do you like best about the product?
Great way to save money/cost effective. It has a great performance and scalable as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
Commercial customers have to pay but it usually not the best to have for the large size database for big companies. It also does not support key procedures in lower versions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helps to resolve the slow performing SQL queries that are hard to identify using some other database tools. It's simplified way of installing has also been helpful.

The workbench and ability to make connections, hints for queries

the workbench and a terminal are not synchronized if opened simultanouosly

Simple installation and deployment with excellent free tools.
What do you like best about the product?
I have used Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle in the past. Recently for my latest project I decided to go with MySQL because it was free. I have been able to do what I needed with MySQL without needing to learn much as the SQL language is very standardized. MySQL Workbench also is easier to use than SQL Server Management Studio. It is also supported on more operating systems.
What do you dislike about the product?
MySQL does not support data partitions. Scalability is limited to the size of a single server. You need a server for each set of data files. It also doesn't support role based security.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to deploy the database to multiple servers on different operating systems with nearly the same installation procedure. The product is well supported on the Internet which makes solving any problems extremely easy.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use it for small to medium sized projects. There is also MariaDB which is based on MySQL.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to query , faster relational database and easy to learn

Sometimes gets too much on setup, configuring it and thay mysql.sock error is pain

Amazing . It stores a lot of databases, easy to connect with odbc, like python java

An open source software. Very fast data retrieval and stable application which supports multiple users.
What do you dislike about the product?
Developer point of view its not very user friendly in terms of GUI.

Very stable application, data retrieval is very fast compare with Oracle and SQL Server.

Since the software is open source, I would definitely recommend this product to to others.

Very structured. Much query. This value is too short. It should have 40 characters or more.

Bad for timestamps. Not ACID compliant.

Its easy to use. Entity Relation diagrams are easy to build.

It could be more simple. Sometime exporting and importing results were missed.
