Easy to learn
What do you like best about the product?
It is stable, reliable and easy to learn and use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Development is not community driven and functionality is dependent on add on

Trying to help the business see at a high level how our stores are performing in terms of customer service, on time delivery and revenue.

What do you like best about the product?
We are able to configure and rerun queries quickly and effenciently
What do you dislike about the product?
We sometimes come up against a size limitations in uut database and have to trim out run times to accomadte this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Able to run analysis for a couple weeks then extract data for reporting. After the reporting is complete we can reset the database for another repot run.

What do you like best about the product?
MySQL is secure, reliable and won't lose your information unless you lose it yourself.
What do you dislike about the product?
Can seem tedious to try and and do the back-end programming if you are inexperienced in several web programming languages.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a client manager we often design our own database systems to match the information gathering and needs of the clients, verses using pre-made system that costs us and our clients extra money. Our goal is to focus on providing same great service, with a lesser cost overall.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
MySQL is not only a great place to start when you want to learn back-end database management and programming for websites, as well as software solutions, it is also secure, reliable and worth every moment of time spent learning the system. MySQL Is also affordable and provides the greatest coverage available in service, and security.

very easy to use and pretty standardized for everyone

ugly interface and not as interactive and intriguing to use

working and linking databases is very helpful
MySQL a powerful and versatile DB engine
What do you like best about the product?
Mysql is very powerful, and best of all is multi platform, easy implementation in windows, linux and osx. Also is very powerful in shared web hosting or dedicated servers.
What do you dislike about the product?
Is not as well adopted as others DB engines. Other DB engines are more popular than MySQL, for example: PGSQL, Oracle, Maria DB. Each one for different reasons: support, easy to use, price, administration tools, etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problems we resolved with MySQL are Data Storage for company web services, cms and crm.

Best open source DB engine in the market, simple, easy to use and free
Great for large or small businesses
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate the cross platform support which makes installation easy. MySQL is also open source, which is a huge plus when integrating different Operating Platforms.
What do you dislike about the product?
MySQL is not intuitive like other programs and that can cause problems. Large queries really slow down the server.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We used MySQL for our Orthodontic practices because of the high importance of security and cross platform functionality.

Make sure to utilize the tutorials and guides available. It really makes implementation planning easier.

It is simple to use and does the trick for anything that is needed in simple database interactions.

It's not as robust as Oracle or MS Databases

Any online interactions that are needed such as inventory management or time tracking.

If you don't need all the robust aspects of some of the larger, more expensive, software, then go for it.
Good and reliable database for most of the use cases

I like the extensive and high quality documentation around this database

The minimal support of maps related data like points, paths, distance calculator, they are supported but just barely.

I has been applicated intensively for our ecommerce solution. One of the benefit is that it's supported by many ORM tools as well as many frameworks.
