RDBMS tool for data management & warehouse transactions
What do you like best about the product?
It is a cleanest, relatively lightweight relational database management system to perform SQL queries, create various databases, create tables and store data smoothly in them. Supports the native SQL and lot of constraints as well. It is supported by lot of frameworks as well which is very useful in product development on various platforms. Data can be easily imported and exported in this. Works well with lot of front-end applications. Since it is free of use, we don't require any license to use this. Variants are available in all the platforms be it Windows, Max or Linux.
What do you dislike about the product?
For heavy usage, there requires a lot of customization especially the large scale enterprise level. When there is immediate need of scaling, it doesn't perform well enough. There is no in-built GUI for writing the queries, we need to install it separately if required or perform the work using command line itself. It lacks certain advanced database management system features which are available in other RDBMS
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The database can be easily created followed by defining the schema for the tables required. Thereafter, data can be either imported or can be fed using the responses from the front-end applications. Reports can be generated by defining functions to query the data from the data base easily. It can easily be updated, altered as per the convenience. The users, database administrator and their access levels can also be controlled easily. It can handle multiple simultaneous transaction also to avoid any inconsistency.

This is a good RDBMS for enterprise as well as personal or low-end usage. It is freely available for all and is recommended to be used for getting one of the best output from a open-source database product

What do you like best about the product?
Have been using MySQL for past 7 years and it serves all the purposes it is designed for. Being a structures DB it offers speed while entering and fetching data from the repository. Easy to learn and work with, it offers a world class support and great security features that can be easily implemented to enhance usage.
What do you dislike about the product?
Being RDBMS, it lacks the features offered by modern DBs like MongoDB. It lacks the JSON storage feature which is common these days.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Have been using it as a data repository. Benefits as discussed are speed of entering and fetching data.

What do you like best about the product?
MySQL is an open-source database software that can be used to store, retrieve and manipulation of data. It provides command line interface as well as graphical user interface. I like GUI of MySQL, by using the GUI we can create and manipulate the data easily.
What do you dislike about the product?
MySQL is not suitable for large projects or databases. It Suffers From Relatively Poor Performance Scaling.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have used MySQL for learning SQL. I have also used this to create databases for my projects. Currently I am using MySQL in a project student directory. I have created databases for various projects in MySQL such that employee management, payroll management, reservation system etc. I have created a project named Election System and integrate it with visual studio by using MySQL .

MySQL is a good database software. It is fast, secure and open source database. It can be used to store, retrieve and manipulate data easily.

What do you like best about the product?
It is a open source database. We can use web-app and mobile app also.when some complicated data structure then we use MySQL. We can access database info with SQL commands. Also we can create replicate database for multiple use. And it is available in more than 20 platforms including windows,Linux , Unix etc. so it's give excellent work.
What do you dislike about the product?
In Some big projects it's not efficient and work effectively.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using mysql create database for website also use SQL commands for performing database operations.and for API call for mobile app used MySQL db.it easy to use.

Easy to use, it is a lightweight tool, there is a lot of documentation on the network, it has advanced functions, it can be integrated with all operating systems and all programming languages.

For a certain number of records, the corporate version must be purchased and license maintenance is expensive

We were able to migrate our records and databases from microsoft sql to mysql in a very simple way and save files in binary format for the development of facial recognition system and fingerprint detector

What do you like best about the product?
It is a powerful tool that will allow you to manipulate data in a simple way, also MySQL allows you to resort to multi-user databases through the web and in different programming languages that adapt to different needs and requirements. On the other hand, MySQL is known for developing high speed in the search for data and information, unlike previous systems. The platforms used are varied and among them we can mention LAMP, MAMP, SAMP, BAMP and WAMP (applicable to Mac, Windows, Linux, BSD, Open Solaris, Perl and Phyton among others).
What do you dislike about the product?
It has found some security flaws in previous versions, but I can say that it is the best database engine to work for.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The experience I had with MySQL is very positive, thanks to the great performance and low operating cost. I can also easily manage the MySQL database and the corresponding tables using the web-based tool. In addition, creating databases and tables is easy.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
MySQL is a very simple program, its design is less elaborate but it is efficient, easy and fast for some web projects, it not only allows us to store information but also interact with it, delete it, edit it, update it either through a web application or A client-type program, but also has an internal structure for information and a specific operation.

What do you like best about the product?
It is a database manager where you can manage, store the data in the form of structured tables, with fields, indexes, foreign keys and referential integrity in the update or erased in cascade. You can also make changes to your sites easily, simply by changing a file, avoiding having to modify all the web code. This is due to the fact that MySQL works with a centralized data management system, which allows changes to be made in a single file and is executed in the entire data structure that is shared on the network. It is a very useful program to manage data.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is not intuitive, like other programs, but in general it is a good program that I recommend.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allowed me to manage the memory and cache for a certain number of simultaneous queries or transactions, Connectors for integration in PHP, Perl, Pyton, ODBC, User monitoring, transactions, memory and process use, Automatic use of auto-numerical values in the Tables, It has functions of checking the performance of queries, It manages the blocking of tables to avoid conflicts of simultaneous transactions and is a very safe tool.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Although it is widely used for web applications, it can also be used in standard applications, it can even be connected to a Microsoft Access database through the ODBC connector.Its corporate use is quite widespread because of its licensing, security, proven performance, ease to develop in different environments, and its multiplatform and multi-user capacity.

What do you like best about the product?
my sql is an open source software created for managing databases you can call it a relational database management system. MySQL can be used to develop small projects. MySQL works well in storage of date ,data relations and also its easy to use in tracking data because of the relations created in the database hence maintaining data integrity.
What do you dislike about the product?
its not easily used by naive user especially users who are not familiar with databases cant not easily interact with MySQL statements. also i can say when one is working with large amounts of data transactions MySQL would not be suitable for it

working with MySQL helps you to create, update and delete data from the database in the databases

i would recommend the use of mysql because its easily integrated with other web engines and also it would work well with web severs as well as in the web hosting solutions in addition to that my sql is an open source software from the oracle family

easy of doing UP and RUNNING, the integrations are awesome, every language have it's mysql connector, powerful and reliable.

it's a relational db, somethimes very slow if you doing hard query !

What do you like best about the product?
MySQL is very useful for all projects beacuse it handled database easily. MySQL has a large community. sometime specific database become complex but MySQL handle itself. So easy for fetch data ,update data, select data. MySQL query and concepts are very useful and database internal perform internal operations are excellent. Also security is also excellent. So it's easy and need to learn very well.

I have no dislike for MySQL beacuse complex query also handle by SQL and give us result. So no dislikes for that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Excellent tool for making we system database. And also reduce the final cost of deployment because it's open source. So excellent quality given by MySQL.
