A great DB server with great features.
What do you like best about the product?
The workbench is a treat. Its flawless, executes queries in a blazing fast manner. All the operations can be performed through the GUI.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing in specific but the bugs in exporting the data of tables. The pre-written DML queries use a specific apostrophe that is not normally used.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
MySQL server have the best joins. I never failed to communicate with DB it understood each and every join and returned all types of results.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Great product, it would be great if the software size is reduced and the amount of RAM it consumes is decreased.

There aren't so much datatype. PostgreSQL helps a bit

large numbers of records can be handled, it is free software, it handles triggers, you can work by command line or by graphic environment, the search engine and filters are very fast and intuitive

Only paid versions have full functionality and are expensive licenses

easy database management, quick searches, integration with information systems, integration with any programming language

What do you like best about the product?
In my opinion in past year MySQL improves more than I think as a development tool for large database. Installation and all the things making Store procedures, views, table becoming more reliable and useful for developers.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some time after installation java file corrupted for this tool and in this manor we need to reinstall all the stuff from the start point that is I most dislike about it.As compare to SQL server writing query syntax and formatting issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
it is light weight and open source that's why it is become very handy to implement client side to implement that is major benefit of using it.

Light weight, very reliable and widely known database. Its easy to manage and easy to use. Performs very well for the applications I have used.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing specific to the functionality and performance but it may not be a good choice if you are running big data applications.

Its super easy to setup, configure and portable. I use it in the cloud and very happy with the provided managed service in terms of backup, recover etc.

What do you like best about the product?
MySQL will allow us to design and manage relational databases with ease thanks to its powerful and intuitive graphical user interface. Additionally, it is open-source software, which means it has a large number of users working non-profit to keep it updated. And it is free, not requiring expensive licenses for its use, whether academic or business. MySQL is designed to support numerous simultaneous user requests, and it is fully compatible with a server or hosting.
What do you dislike about the product?
MySQL is not easy to use, of course, it requires extensive knowledge in the design and management of relational databases, as well as a command of the SQL language. For beginners, it is not suitable; a better option is OpenBase or Access, which do not require a deep understanding of that language.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In our corporation, MySQL is used exclusively for academic learning in database subjects, for the design of large relational databases.

What do you like best about the product?
It is extremely easy to use and simple. Installation and setup is also very easy. And supports PHP. It is also very easy to learn it and is not complex at all.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing much to dislike about MySQL, but sometimes there are stability problems also it gets laggy at time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Use it for web application and stores the data in it. As it is easier to sort and manage huge amount of datas using MySQL i often use it when dealing with large amount of datas.

If you are a newbie and doesn’t know programming well i would recommend using this software because it is very easy to learn and the installation and setup is also very easy. This is an open source application too.

What do you like best about the product?
I most like about MySQL is a open source and so much easy to understand. MySQL is free so we not charge any price to use database. MySQL is a great GUI support to manage table and schema easily. MySQL is run on all the platforms.

I don't found any dislike in MySQL. MySQL is best rdbms.

Works well
What do you like best about the product?
Very stable when maintained and operated properly. I prefer to use this in Linux

Can be difficult to install in windows but I am not sure this is MySQL issue

Easy to edit and repair clients databases especially with workbench

I find mysql very easy to use, It gives safe update mode , provides details of process.

Sometimes I find that it is slow and some of the functions are not supported in it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use mysql for development and production, It is free resource and provides many of the functionality. I can easily create user for accessing database with different permissions.
