MySQL experience

  • August 26, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
As it's Open Source, it's easily available, scalable and easy enough to work with.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing at all to dislike really. The initial setup takes a bit of technical knowledge, but apart from that - certainly as is the case with WordPress, you don't generally need to touch the database at all.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Have developed in the past some beautiful and functional websites based on WordPress. WordPress utilises mySQL.

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Good User interface, documentations are straight forward. Works well with both Mac and Windows. I particularly like the forward engineering option.
What do you dislike about the product?
Password in Vault crashed on me multiple times.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Combining master tables by joining them, finding commonalities. This is particularly good for ad-hoc analyses.

MySQL is the best among all.

  • August 23, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
MySQL offers unmatched scalability to facilitate the management of deeply embedded apps using a smaller footprint even in massive warehouses that stack terabytes of data. On-demand flexibility is the star feature of MySQL.
MySQL stored procedures are secure because the database administrator can grant appropriate permissions to applications that access stored procedures in the database without giving any permissions on the underlying database tables.
MySQL comes with the assurance of 24X7 uptime and offers a wide range of high availability solutions like specialized cluster servers and master/slave replication configurations.
What do you dislike about the product?
DoS attacks and spamming can wreck havoc on your database server. You can easily prevent performance issues and increase uptime with a robust load balancing software that ensures automatic failover and security updates.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Storage of data in the database and retrieval of data from the database.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
MySQL is very easy to use if you are thinking of database please try MySQL and you will love it.

Intuitive UI and accessible

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
MySQL Is open source and MySQL is designed with a focus on the Web, Cloud and Big Data.
What do you dislike about the product?
MySQL is Oracle-owned instead of community driven and isn’t mature as other options.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Introducing Global Transaction Identifiers (GTIDs) make it simple to track and compare replication progress between the master and slave servers, as well as the MySQL Applier for Hadoop.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Its a great all around option.

Best tool to maintain and perform daily task in database. Very important to boost your Business.

  • August 22, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It is an important tool which is required to meet daily business requirement.
Every company has tones of data to be processed on daily basis and doing it manually one by one is tedious work. So in such scenario MySQL is a saviour.
Best thing about MySQL is, its an open source.
Very useful for database management which saves lots of time, money and human efforts.
We can integrate also with any other platforms to achieve our requirement.
And easy to learn as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes user can find difficulty while handling larger data and to identify any errors can be also difficult.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have used MySQL to fetch and load data in HR services.
For maintaining resource allocation data and new joinee data, MYSQL has played very important role.
Fetching data is really quick and easy.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I always wished if the UI of MYSQL could be better and we can get suggestions or hints of which syntax to follow while typing as we get in other tools.

Idea platform to use

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that MySQL has enabled me to store data in a database which I then query using PHP so as to display the queried data in our web applications dashboards. This has enabled us to perform analytics in real-time and also helped in decision making. To add, MySQL is very powerful and it handles simultaneous connections with ease and multiple queries can be run in parallel without affecting performance. Further, MySQL is an open source software and therefore the cost of acquisition and maintenance is extremely low making it the best fit for organizations looking for a reliable, fast and secure way to store relational data in a database.
What do you dislike about the product?
search engines are not fast enough, when we work in a very large database you can not perform extensive searches, and that must be a tool problem because our computers have very good resources.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With the mysql database manager, it can be installed on any computer with basic hardware requirements. The other problem that was solved with Mysql is that programmers can take their development station to their home, to develop a system without having a connection to the Institute's database. Another benefit offered by MYSQL is that the free license, that is, the acquisition and installation of the software does not generate any cost from the financial point of view
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would recommend mysql for those small companies whose information systems development is not on a large scale. Another consideration for its recommendation is for those companies where they have a technological deficiency associated with the hardware, because it is also recommended from the financial point of view, since having a license without cost, substantially reduces development costs and can be installed as much in Linux as in Windows. I consume resources from the computers of this database administrator.

MYSQL rocks for database query

  • August 21, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that MySQL has enabled me to store data in a database This has enabled us to perform analytics in real-time and also helped in decision making. To add, MySQL is very powerful and it handles simultaneous database connections with ease and multiple queries can be run in parallel without affecting performance.
Also major problem is you cannot break the json in MYSQL if you are running query on direct Database.
What do you dislike about the product?
The learning curve for new beginners is quite stiff and also the query load if the file size is more than 2 to 3 lakhs transaction it dies exporting the data's.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Through my sql you can directly query into main database where others software takes time to refresh the data into their software.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
yes good for big data management

Easily understand Database system

  • August 21, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Most helpful about MySql is its syntax and language, as it is very easy to understand as well as to learn. This is best for managing relation database. I found it flexible to use for anyone who wants to use it.
What do you dislike about the product?
This is not very helpful for big enterprises, but is best option for startups. Also it does not have ARRAY data types so sometimes it is not suitable for projects.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This database does not create any blunder issues. I would not say it is bad, but yes it makes your system hang sometimes, if big database create its compilation speed got slow.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I thing this is good for students as well as for small scale companies also it is license free. Additionally, some of its syntax is easy to understand. So student must use this & experience this, as it is a hub of knowledge about database.

    Shivam S.

It is one of the best SQL available.

  • August 19, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Due to the advantage of caching on MySQL servers, MySQL stored procedures are very fast.
In terms of security, MySQL is the most secure and safe.
MySQL stored procedures are portables also.
It is so easy to write the stored procedures in MySQL.
What do you dislike about the product?
If we use many stored procedures, the memory usage of every connection that is using those stored procedures will increase substantially.
Another thing which I found difficult in MySQL is the debugging of the stored procedures.
MySQL is restricted to complex business logic too.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Storage of data in different types of databases.
Management of the databases.
Retrieval of data from the databases.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you want to try an easy and efficient approach to access your database you must try MySQL once.
