The best open source database to use.
What do you like best about the product?
1. I am a developer and I have 3 years of experience and till then I am using MySQL database to develop my project and it is helping me a lot to achieve my requirements for my projects.
2. With the version above MySQL 5, there is much more inbuild function introduce which help me to achieve requirements in given time for my client's of the company.
3. Supported by all the operating system and easy to install in any operating system like window, Mac etc

What do you dislike about the product?
1. As a developer, I did not find any drawback in the MySQL database.
2. Some times if you are going to handle big data then there is a problem in manageability.

I use it to meet my company's client requirement and to develop my project.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use SQL database. Supports most functionality you need and its free.
What do you dislike about the product?
Doesn't have the same UI tools and performance analyzers as MS SQL

Storing data for business applications.

If you want to develop an application that uses lots of data on a tight budget, it's great. The tool support could be better.

Mysql is one of the database with an excellent interface, and very secure, with very large capacity of data storage.
What do you dislike about the product?
one of the things I do not like is that complex queries often require a lot of resources to get results.

we have several benefits with Mysql, since it is installed and implemented easily in almost any operating system, that is, it allows a great flexibility in the choice of platform.

I recommend Mysql for all companies wishing to have one of the best database, with great storage and very flexible.

What do you like best about the product?
MySQL is simple,east to learn, easy to install, easy to configure and easy to setup connection and free to use.Perform.MySQL has cross platform support on which implementation and integration would not be a problem.
What do you dislike about the product?
Personally I am not a great fan of the backup/restore features built in to MySQL. I have found they can take a long long time to import/export a table with many many millions of rows of data.

i used the mysql database to store the data of finance base application

being a regular user i strongly recommended MySQL because it is indeed suited to being the back end behind web based portals and you will find a number of third party web applications are optimized for MySQL. It is also works magically being called from Spring Web Flow either directly via JDBC or via a Hibernate.

What do you like best about the product?
It will come with great language like SQL and it s independent on platform. Very much useful from low to high level projects

It will take time to understand high level topics like joins and performing operation using multiple tables

While storaging, fetching data for e-commerce any other relead topic. I using since 1 year onward

What do you like best about the product?
I like the ability to import and export multiple sets of data, to successfully migrate to other platforms. I enjoy that I have the ability to jump from multiple different tables and query data from different sets, by quickly switching between tabs.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that at time some schemas do not always upload properly when trying to import data.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are successfully migrating data from one platform to another. I can quickly attach and detach different sets of data. This is very helpful for multitasking, as we work with multiple different data sets from different types of software daily.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you need a product that will properly help you import and export multiple tables for data migration, this is a great tool to use.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that I can run it locally on my laptop and it's easy to use. Everything is pretty easy to figure out if you've used this kind of database before.
What do you dislike about the product?
I feel like things like xamp and phpmyadmin are easier to use. The only downside is that it's not on your computer locally for those two. It's hard to run multiple devices with mysql on them when you use different options depending on the project.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Building php/wordpress pages is a lot easier with this.

The UI, management, how it handles data execution, various user options that we get and user friendly right from development of a connection to execution of scripts

Sometimes it's hard to debug errors, most of the times it's direct but some error codes do not give much information

1. As a developer, I face only one problem is that if you going to manage big database above 5 GB then it response very slow.

As a developer I use it to manage, export, import my projects data.

If you are a developer or owner then it is best to go with Mysql. First thing it is free and easily available and almost supported by all the operation system and all the servers.
