Very easy and amazing experience with MySql
What do you like best about the product?
It is very easy to work with MySql. The installation is easy, configuration is easy, creating and editing database is easy and working with queries is also eaay. Overall it makes the life easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing much to be honest. But as the size of the daybase increases it is better to switch to other Sql servers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Running quesrsies and getting data from the database.

What do you like best about the product?
MySql is a very simple yet useful tool for sql users. MySql can be installed in any system and connected with almost every application. It also supports very new languages like R and new functionalities are added every year.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is not much to dislike in mysql as they regularly fixes all the bugs faced. But if we compare with noSql then there are many disadvantages of using mysql as there are many developed functionalities in NoSql
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
There are many business opportunities as we need to maintain a connection between our application and database and mysql handles it very well.We can communicate through xml as well with our application.

go ahead and use mysql. it is a great tool to store data and work with it. It is very organized and easy to use tool which will help in managing and maintaining the data

What do you like best about the product?
I love the ease with which I can access or edit my database. I think MySQL is a very useful tool for any company to use for data storage.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the interface in Windows, MySQL workbench can be a little annoying to get the hang of. I prefer the command line interface through Linux much more.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We rely on MySQL database to store our data in tables and working with MySQL to access, edit and store the data has been very helpful.

If you understand get the gist of MySQL, it makes data extraction, storage and manipulation very simple.

What do you like best about the product?
The ease of connectivity with InnoDB engine. Help is widely available as it widely used and well accepted by the development community. Very well supported with Java and JDBC. Easily scalable and can be integrated with cloud services easily.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing as such that I dislike, but if possible it can support something like PL/SQL syntax. Other than that I like all the features. Whatever requirements we have is addressed by MySQL.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
MySQL is used for solving all RDBMS requirements in our office. As I have already mentioned, MySQL can be easily scaled, integrated with Java J2EE. Also can be easily integrated with AWS and Google Cloud which makes scaling and load balancing easy.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely worth using it if you are planning to build a scalable web application. Support is widely available. Moreover most of the features are free, which makes it an even more attractive solution.

The I/O operations on heavy data time out pretty soon leaving me in desperate need for higher resources.

The way it acts is non-obvious. For example, you may expect a join on a decent index to perform better than doing multiple queries and aggregating in the application.

Developing Live reporting services for production lines. Attacking key issues on time and not having to wait until the clerk finishes the report from the day before.

Patience, MySql has a ton of hidden features like triggers and events that need to be discovered by digging in the configuration settings once you learn where they are at life will be much easier.

Complex queries usually require many resources to obtain results. Other software does not present this situation.
MySQL has stopped its evolutionary process since its change of ownership, so the changes it presents have become irrelevant to the operation of the service.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
MySQL is appropriate in infrastructures that do not require so many relational queries between its databases. It is oriented to the web environment, to the big data environment where the objective should be mainly the storage of information.

MySql's simplicity and its amazing ability to scale. Easy to connect from any technology.
What do you dislike about the product?
Security is slightly a concern with MySQL. Better security measures could be implemented. Joining tables sometimes become a bottleneck. Other than that MySql's dislike would be the dislike of a relational database... Which is having a fix schema, and a need to re-architecture every time new changes come in.

We use MySQL almost every where there's a need for a relational database.
