Mysql Overview
What do you like best about the product?
It's very easy to learn the commands and especially when it comes to write the commands of mysql using other languages like PHP or c++, it is easy to do so. The most important feature of mysql that I llike is its rollback feature. And we can join the tables in any way we want using different joints is also good
What do you dislike about the product?
When we create tables and try to split the tables into two or more tables, is somewhat difficult in mysql. Installing the php-mysql drivers is the most annoying thing I've faced in mysql. The installation instructions are not available at one website. So in case of windows it is very troublesome.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I did a database project- Event management portal using mysql and did many assignments in my bachelor's.

As with any open source tool, there are benefits and detractors. I advise weighing the positive and negative carefully, but it works great at its core.
Performance plus free
What do you like best about the product?
Who can beat this? A database app that is robust, feature-full, reliable, easy to learn, compete well with paid counterparts, seamlessly works with lots of programming languages, works on several IT platforms, and on top of all these good stuff, it is FREE. Yes, it is free!
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing to dislike; it is very easy to slice and dice this application to one's need.

MySQL is powerful, efficient and most importantly open source. When you consider the fact that phpMyAdmin is also open source, it's hard to find a better alternative to database administration. Easy to set up and easy to use.

There's not really anything I would change about it.

Nice Docs, but Where Did You Hide the Examples?
What do you like best about the product?
REPLQCE INTO is a much-needed extension of the ANSI SQL standard that makes the very commonly required task of updating a row if it exists in a table, or adding it if it doesn't. Implementing this capability in standard SQL is complex, tricky, and labor intensive to get right.
What do you dislike about the product?
The documentation is good as far as it goes, but must manual pages are seriously short on examples.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am currently developing a data warehouse.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Set aside money for support, and be prepared to spend more for it than you would for a Microsoft SQL Server license.
