The most Practical Database Engine
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to install, deploy (provide support for a lot of operating systems) and optimize. Highly scalable, allows a solid deployment in high availability. Compared to other databases, its implementation is low cost and can support a considerable amount of data.
For quick reference applications (informative pages) it is the best option. Its command line is highly intuitive.
Can do backups, restores with a simple command line in unix environments without the need for third-party applications

What do you dislike about the product?
Have a few stability issues. In environments where the volume of transactions is very high, its use is not fully recommended, To mention in transactions in banking environments or warehousing.
Especially in environments where security of operations is paramount. Partly as it is easy to use, it is prone to fail as it attracts young programmers. This means that the cost of optimization is complex

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A good engine for support a lot of web or hybrid applications in a fast and orderly manner and interoperable with a large number of programming languages.
The maintenance and recovery of database engines require less time and resources.
For a stable application of small and medium enterprises it is recommended to use MySQL since it takes better advantage of hardware resources

For support of small and medium web applications where the information is not sensitive and you need to maintain speed in the sample of the fastest information. Ideal for informative pages or applications for internal use, behind a good perimeter security design.

What do you like best about the product?
I like it for availability on Linux server platforms and the ease of use of the product.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have any dislikes on MySQL as it is the only database platform we use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We mainly use it for website development, our provider already rolled it out for us so we don't have to do anything but use it.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
My SQL is great paired with CPanel. It works well throughout the years and it is stable. I personally use it way back on the year 2000 when I was in college.

You have to improve small things in the interface to design the tables.

This is the DB at the back end of quite a few sites of mine over the years. Quite the Titan in the space.

The DB had some resilience issues for us when a data center went down.

It's super easy to spin up new dbs with MySQL and Docker. Since MySQL is well-supported by open source libraries in all languages, the choice is easy.

No dislikes come to mind. The documentation and supporting libraries are great.

Being a Back End developer I use MySQL most of the time to keep my web projects databases in well organised relational tables. The best thing about MySQL is it's exceptional ability of relating tables with each other. As per my consideration MySQL is still getting used for most of the applications running in this real world.
What do you dislike about the product?
As of now I don't feel any drawbacks using MySQL. In 90% of my live projects I have used it and still all my projects are running flawlessly.

1. My work and personal project's databases are totally dependent on MySQL RDB and each has been designed with extensive use of Relational abilities of MySQL.

What do you like best about the product?
What I really like about MySQL is that it is very user-friendly. Anyone who is new to this domain can easily understand what kind of features MySQL provides and how it works. User interfaces are designed in a manner that everyone can easily get familiar with the product. It is faster and efficient. You can query the database and tables you create inside MySQL and get the result in a very small time.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing bad to say about this product. It is easy to integrate to any of your applications using almost every computer language.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Instead of having a paper based solution our company wanted me to develop a reservation system which can track all the reservations that are made by our customers. I used MySQL for the data storage part in this development.

If you are looking for a simple database management tool which is very easy to understand but still come with a lot of features and most importantly, which can improve the productivity of each department of your company I recommend MySQL because it is a total package.
