Very satisfied after using MySQL
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of connectivity with InnoDB engine. Help is widely available as it widely used and well accepted by the development community. Very well supported with Java and JDBC. Easily scalable and can be integrated with cloud services easily.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing as such that I dislike, but if possible it can support something like PL/SQL syntax. Other than that I like all the features. Whatever requirements we have is addressed by MySQL.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
MySQL is used for solving all RDBMS requirements in our office. As I have already mentioned, MySQL can be easily scaled, integrated with Java J2EE. Also can be easily integrated with AWS and Google Cloud which makes scaling and load balancing easy.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely worth using it if you are planning to build a scalable web application. Support is widely available. Moreover most of the features are free, which makes it an even more attractive solution.

SQL your way through data
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of access, the ease of writing queries and the huge community support is unparalleled for any other database.
What do you dislike about the product?
The I/O operations on heavy data time out pretty soon leaving me in desperate need for higher resources.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Data Ingestion, Data Visualization and Reporting
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You may use this if you require a good relational DB.
MySql best Sql manager for Php
What do you like best about the product?
Rock-Solid Reliability
Protecting sensitive business information is the primary concern of every enterprise. MySQL ensures data security with exceptional data protection features.
Protecting sensitive business information is the primary concern of every enterprise. MySQL ensures data security with exceptional data protection features.
What do you dislike about the product?
The way it acts is non-obvious. For example, you may expect a join on a decent index to perform better than doing multiple queries and aggregating in the application.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Developing Live reporting services for production lines. Attacking key issues on time and not having to wait until the clerk finishes the report from the day before.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Patience, MySql has a ton of hidden features like triggers and events that need to be discovered by digging in the configuration settings once you learn where they are at life will be much easier.
Cheap but limited solution
What do you like best about the product?
It’s cheap and you can easily backup schemas to a single transaction file
What do you dislike about the product?
Its not very suitable for heavy workloads, awful management console and t-sql language
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
RDBMS for applications
MySQL Review
What do you like best about the product?
MySQL is easier to learn and to use, compared to other databases. Learning curve is low.
It has many options for additional features like storage engines, you can pick the one that works best for you. I have used InnoDB.
Support of MySQL is very good. The site has blogs, tutorials, webinars, videos and many discussion forums. Any question you have has probably already been answered somewhere by someone in the MySQL community.

What do you dislike about the product?
There always trade offs and challenges.
MySQL works fine in most small or medium applications, but when data size grows, the performance may down.
MySQL has a little choices when you need to write stored procedure and trigger.

MySQL has a little choices when you need to write stored procedure and trigger.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One can configure MySQL to run tiny embedded applications using a memory no larger than one megabyte and can be used in large systems also.
MySQL has popular feature called stored procedures, mini, precompiled routines that reside outside of the application.
MySQL is evidently fast. It is a genuine multi-threaded database server that exceeds expectations at retrieving information.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
The first database I used was MySQL and to be honest I still use it. MySQL has been used in various environments. It is widely adopted and it's relatively easy to use. If you're a beginner and seeking RDMS, MySQL is best option to go for. When you run into problems, they might probably already have been answered somewhere. If you are trying to create a site with the high level functionality, MySQL might not be the right tool. MySQL does not implement features found in many other products.
Good choice, but better out there
What do you like best about the product?
I used to recommend MySQL, but that flow has now moved to MariaDB for obvious reasons.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is owned by Oracle. When it was sold to Oracle, MariaDB was born and brought with them dev's from MySQL. I don't like that Oracle has a competing product and feel eventually this will hurt MySQL.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is being phased out.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would recommend checking out MariaDB first. I feel it is a better solution.
Simplest relational databases out there
What do you like best about the product?
The query language is simple to use and understand. The query language is almost english like sentences. It is open source too.
What do you dislike about the product?
Mysql's performance does not scale well when compared to its competitors (like say MariaDB).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Data storage and retrieval.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Highly recommend it for people starting out to use relational databases.
