Good experience
What do you like best about the product?
I had been using Microsoft SQL for a long while before moving to this and I like the MySQL UI which is very user friendly and similar to that of MS SQL.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have had only a little trouble with installing it sometimes, but I like that it's easily available.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I was using it as the database for my application.

The software was easy to install and easy to use. It is also password protected

While downloading you get password and if you donot copy at that time then it is very hard to retrieve it again

Searching for a light DB with massive comunity and easy to install, configure, manage, backup and restore... use MySQL

When use in a big envierment maybe its not the best idea in my experience.

Little/Mid programs work better than another powerfull DB.

Has very good Data Security and the Flexibility of Open Source with On-Demand Scalability.

It has some stability issues and not a community driven development though its is a open source platform
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
MySQL can be used efficiently for very large data sets. So, if your project will be handling data sets over about 500 GIG, consider taking the time to have it properly configured to handle data at scale

Every new version released includes refined functionality that keeps it a viable solution for many data storage needs.
Currently MySQL is our first option for database webservers
What do you like best about the product?
Reliability, community, documentation and support. Although in this moment MariaDB is an open source fork for Mysql is not supporting all features as json fields.
What do you dislike about the product?
The project is no longer open source since Oracle got it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use MySQL as standalone and Galera cluster mode.

The default before starting any project. Excellent community support and a slew of features. One of the best performing and parent to almost all other opensource SQL database solutions.

The command prompt can be improved as it is in MariaDB. The clustering options are limited.

What do you like best about the product?
What I value most about MySQL is its speed and versatility when it comes to being installed on different operating systems. The great connectivity, security, and speed that this manager offers is highly recommended for managing databases on the network. When starting out, its easy configuration gives MySQL an added versatility. I am very happy using this application.

Well, the good it offers on one hand is counterbalanced by its poorly documented (although increasingly so) utilities. It's not what you would call intuitive, so at first it's difficult to adapt and progress with this tool, therefore it may not be a suitable tool for those who do not want to make an effort to learn more technical things.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I work managing databases, accessing and modifying them, and MySQL allows me to access these databases effectively and quickly, which are often not on nearby servers but thousands of kilometers away. I have realized that it is a very powerful tool that anyone who wants to delve into the world of Big Data should learn.

It is a very powerful tool for database management that will undoubtedly give you an advantage wherever you go and look for work.

What do you like best about the product?
I have been developing for several years using this software. It has made my programming improve substantially given its ease and quality of use. MySQL is primarily designed to be used focusing on "big data," especially for web development. Originally, I used Microsoft SQL Server but opted to use MySQL, which offers a great opportunity for a platform that is easy to integrate. Additionally, it is easy to scale and has great data integrity. By using this software for my company, we have realized that we now have more than 300 active tables processing our data daily. Connecting to my "IDE" for web development is extremely easy and reliable to work with. Due to its popularity over the years, there are solutions for almost everything using MySQL. The amount of online learning material makes this a straightforward investment for anyone looking to use databases in their projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
As an administrator, I have always tried to achieve standardization across all my systems, both in coding and in the behavior of databases, and in this software, I have found many flaws that even with (more than 15 years in the market), there are errors without adequate documentation, errors that even the Oracle and MySQL community have not been able to resolve. The error nomenclature is very generic, and a single error code can refer to several different errors.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allowed me to create my first relational database, with very low cost and limited technological resources, which I linked to PostGIS and through an open-source environment to set up a small GIS that met the requirements of the institution I was part of at that time.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This is a fantastic product. The best product for database management. It allows the end user to view the stored data in a complete format, as well as execute queries instantly. With the mysql software, you won't need scripts to execute database queries, as it has a graphical user interface for this specific purpose. For all that and more, I recommend it to everyone.

MySQL is easy to set up and use, yet is surprisingly fast and powerful. Easy to find advice online about configuration parameters to use.

Trying to figure out problems isn’t exactly straightforward.

Extremely easy to integrate with a website using PHP

What do you like best about the product?
It is a very accessible tool given its price. It is also easy to integrate. The optimizer is very good.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are limited functionalities. With very heavy tables, it becomes extremely slow.

It can be included in low-cost projects providing better profitability.
