Open source sql database
What do you like best about the product?
It is free and easy to setup. Even the my sql language is very to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Configuration on linux servers is hard.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have used mysql to create relational database for my part time project. Its very easy to use in php language.
Best Open Source Relational DBMS
What do you like best about the product?
Mysql is the best RDBMS availble, it in open source and free to use. Its latest version provided support for json data types, which is an added advantage. You can use and integrate it with any leading technologies available in the market.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is very good for small and medium scale applications, it certainly lacks features of a enterprise DBMS.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is very simple and easy to use and install.

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to sort my data much easier than in other applications like R or excel.
What do you dislike about the product?
That there isn’t a widely used intuitive interface, such as R Studio or Spyder.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Have been able to sort and find specific data much more quickly than I would’ve done in excel or in D.

What do you like best about the product?
MySQL provides multiple features that we can use to manage large amounts of data efficiently. It's very easy to use. The MySQL Workbench provides a neat user interface through which we can manage data visually. Moreover, MySQL also supports cloud deployment.
What do you dislike about the product?
My overall experience with MySQL is great. The only one thing I dislike about MySQL is that when I used Workbench as a user interface, it would quit accidentally sometimes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I used MySQL to store and manage large amounts of data we have from our customers. It helped me to manage data easily and in a more reliable way.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are looking for a powerful tool to manage your relational data easily and efficiently, MySQL is a great way to go. It provides multiple choices. For example, for the user interface, you can use MySQL Workbench (the official integrated environment for MySQL), Navicat, ClusterControl, Adminer and so on. MySQL also supports cloud deployment, which is a good thing for nowadays' enterprise.
Excellent relational database
What do you like best about the product?
The MySQL database is a magnificent database engine, which allows for a great variety of configurations to adapt it to our needs, with a wide range of data types that enable proper adaptation to any type of application.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only drawback I find in this database engine is the lack of use of anonymous blocks, having to devise alternatives to the use of this functionality that is found in other database engines.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
MySQL has allowed our group to solve the data storage problem of the developed web application.
Reasonable Relational Database Engine
What do you like best about the product?
Reasonable cost of using relation database engine that seamlessly offers the almost same experience of Oracle database.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much support for the free version DB. Especially it costs money to use and deploy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In a lab environment, I use MySQL as a traditional RDB modeling or to migrate data from or to another RDB.
Using MySQL for DB design testing and quick data analytics
What do you like best about the product?
Free and very robust, the Workbench software is amazing to work with no more command line interface for me.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think my biggest issue with MySQL is with the workbench application, when creating a new table you have to preform a manual refresh in order to get the new table to display.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am using MySQL server and workbench on my laptop and use it primarily to load data given to me in excel format into tables so that I can quickly cross reference the data for decision making or analytics. I also use it for trying out relational database designs before putting them into development.
MySQL is a great light-weight replacement for SQL Server

MySQL is free - and full featured. It is open source and well maintained.
What do you dislike about the product?
The tools are not as polished as SQL server.
