A Very Good Relational Database
What do you like best about the product?
MariaDB has a lot of good features. It supports SQL queries to pull and push the data easily into the tables. It supports foreign key which ensures the valid and correct data,
We can do transaction management very easily using the auto-commit feature.

What do you dislike about the product?
I don't think there is anything to dislike at the moment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I used MariaDB in my Web application projects which were based on Java and PHP. I used MariaDB to store the data permanently and show that to the user when needed.

MariaDB is the perfect alternative for MySQL
What do you like best about the product?
Since MariaDB is a derivative of MySQL, you have almost everything from MySQL supported MariaDB, so you can migrate your databases easily to MariaDB. It is fast and reliable.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have anything to say I dislike about MariaDB. It is an excellent alternative to MySQL; it is usually built-in in some operating systems since it is fully open source.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
MariaDB is a good Relational Database Management System, which has helped me to store data for the projects I've built for my clients and side projects. It is usually built-in in some servers or local environments since it is fully open-source.
Love the centralized CRM suite for push notes, email and in-browser messaging, at a very fair price!
What do you like best about the product?
At a prior company, we were able to replace a very expensive system with Turnkey, and keep all of our favorite features.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the documentation could have been improved, but overall we had what we need to jump start our CRM system.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to combine our user accounts who receive email and push notes. Great segmentation features.

Speed!!
What do you like best about the product?
free, fast, easy deployment, and open source
What do you dislike about the product?
There are disadvantages when storing huge amounts of data (blobs) in a single raw with a raw size limitation, but it's not designed to store files anyway and it's not the best practice to do so. If you know your way around file hosting services, or implement file level storage for files, you wouldn't practically come across these disadvantages.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
remote installation/deployment/script based migrations

2021 - MariaDB in NOT MySQL -IT is SO much more!
What do you like best about the product?
Being a MySQL Fork once upon a time, and the fact the original developer of MYSQL runs MariaDB, it is compatible, familiar, and very easy to get up to speed, even scale. Its direction and focus on features is "for purpose". JSON ,GIS, ColumnStore... and more.. give it full hybrid OLAP/OLTP. 1.5 billion row tables on a single instance - with what would be considered "low" end VM! Fantastic!
What do you dislike about the product?
My only issue would not be a MariaDB fault -but rather that it is often mistaken and referred to as MySQL, unfairly skewing the numbers against MariaDB. Testament to just how compatible it had remained.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Without MariaDB, bootstrapping our now maturing startup would never have been possible. Low cost with available staff skills. Rapidly having to scale Ingest and processing while keeping hardware to a minimum, impressively so. 1.5 billion row tables and no technical debt, with the dev team seeming to be 1 step ahead of our needs, delivering improvements and new features, but always comfortably familiar. I have nothing but absolute praise. Now to address the issues that it is not MySQL - it is SO much more!
Very stable with excellent docs and legacy support
What do you like best about the product?
The online docs are excellent, far better than mySQL.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing, when compared to mysql. It is rather retro compared to other RDMS.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Multi-tenant hosting without difficulty.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Switching from mysql is a good idea
MariaDB is guaranteed solidity
What do you like best about the product?
MariaDB offers stability and is open source, which minimizes costs. The important thing is that it is supported on a large platform of users who frequently publish very useful solutions. As for its configuration, it is very basic and does not need a lot of computer resources. I like the modification in terms of the structure of the table in reference to MySQL.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the debugging tool fails sometimes, because it does not analyze the missing indexes. I also found some flaws in the replication of the database.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I think MariaDB has given us security, because security patches are obtained frequently. Migration has never been so easy and usually has a good performance. Previously we used MySQL and the security versions were slow.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
MariaDB is a great project and is supported in a large community of users. It is fast and works perfectly with a large amount of data. Also security is guaranteed.
SQL
What do you like best about the product?
It is a good tool for practice of SQL but you have to know the syntax to use it
What do you dislike about the product?
You have to be very concentrated to avoid syntax error
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
To test SQL on locahost
