Excellent GRC Tool + Great Customer Service
What do you like best about the product?
Apptega's fantastic customer service and dedication to continuously approving the application; along with the ability to crosswalk different cybersecurity frameworks which allows our team to save time and cost by managing similar, overlapping security controls from multiple frameworks in a single interface.
What do you dislike about the product?
While there are effective workarounds in place and more integrations in the works, currently the platform lacks the ability to automate the ingestion of evidence from security tools.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The need to have an efficient, centralized, authoritative repository for our status and our client's status to various cybersecurity framework certifications and/or Authorities to Operate (ATOs).

Full functioning, easy to use GRC tool
What do you like best about the product?
Apptega has been a great tool to manage our ISO 27001 Information Security Management Systems. The portal is easy to navigate and it offers full functionality to map our controls and keep track of tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be helpful to have an easier way to update documents already uploaded to the system.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Overall management of all Information Security Management System documentation. Prior to Apptega all policies and procedures were stored on a shared drive with no ability to map controls or manage access.
Apptega was crucial in spearheading the vast world of compliance.
What do you like best about the product?
Apptega helps organize and containerize the vast options on the path to compliance. presenting it in an ordly fashion, so you can tackle it efficiently and systematically.
What do you dislike about the product?
Apptega provides broad guidance. While this is extremely helpful, some scenarios or examples that further elaborate would be greatly beneficial.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Apptega solves the challenge of "where to begin", or the overwhelming page after page of compliance requirements, making it a modular journey that you can chip away at.
Great Compliance Management Platform
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about Apptega is that it is a single place to go to view the compliance status for multiple frameworks from ISO to GDPR to NIST. Executive at-a-glance reports are easy to generate so you can keep your shareholders informed on-demand! You can even give shareholders and auditors access to reports for reviews as needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
Using NIST 800-171 as an example, the post-assessment process is not as automated as it could be. To generate your Plan of Action & Milestones you have to have Apptega upload a task pack (extra purchase) or go through each control and manual create tasks for each unfinished item. The POA&M is then generated from those tasks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For us, Apptega is providing a single platform that we can perform assessments against a framework, upload evidence and then assign controls and tasks to other departments and employees to build a comprehensive compliance management program.

Responsiveness and willingness to understand the client's concerns and address them promptly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing comes to mind but can use standard pricing as a catch-all response.

Adapting to ever-changing compliance frameworks is challenging for the entire industry, but Apptega is always a few steps ahead.

What do you like best about the product?
The layout of the platform is very easy to use and contains all the features I need for tracking compliance. The Cross-mapping of multiple frameworks is my favorite feature.
What do you dislike about the product?
I genuinely do not have anything negative to say about Apptega. I enjoy working with the team, including the developers, to enhance the platform and user experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Apptega saves me a lot of time and helps me stay organized. Being able to cross-map different frameworks together and produce on-the-spot reporting are some of the most beneficial features of the platform.

What do you like best about the product?
What I love the most about the platform is the ability to crosswalk multiple frameworks at one time. This reduces the friction and effort for everyone involved. Also, the "at a glance reporting dashboards help leaders quickly identify where to direct their resources and make the most progress quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Apptega is constantly improving; one area that could use a boost is to allow organizations to edit documents live in the platform. This will help organizations with version control and review and approval cycles.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Apptega takes compliance assessments from static spreadsheets to a dynamic platform experience. This allows teams to prep for audits and maintain adherence to policies much easier.

Excellent, to the point, cost effective GRC platform for MSPs/MSSPs/vCISOs/auditing firms.
What do you like best about the product?
Quickly spin up new clients, complete assessments against a myriad of frameworks, add risk, crosswalk between platforms, excellent support, cost effective licensing.
What do you dislike about the product?
Random glitches can take a little while to get remediated but nothing that's been a deal breaker. Platform is sometimes slow but speed has been much better lately. Licensing can sometimes be confusing depending on the use case but the sales team was very helpful in explaining it all.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Apptega is helping us move away from spreadsheet assessments and manual crosswalks. It's also nice to have a single pane of glass for risk, framework compliance, audits, vendors, and reporting.
Makes compliance tracking and audits seamless
What do you like best about the product?
An excellent way to track and organize our compliance audits. Framework mapping has helped to reduce duplicate efforts as we manage multiple compliances. The Apptega team is great to work with and has been very helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface can be difficult to navigate at first. It may take a few sessions to feel comfortable working in it. Infrequent users generalling spend a little extra time to reacclimate themselves

Apptega has helped our organization monitor and hit milestones required within our compliance programs. It has reduced manual effort to track down what may be outstanding.

What do you like best about the product?
Apptega is a comprehensive end-to-end platform to assess, build, manage, collaborate and report organizations cybersecurity and other risk management program
What do you dislike about the product?
In my experience with the platform, I did not encounter any functionality issues and understand Apptega is working on building APIs to connect to other products and tools.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using it for client organization cyber risk assessments as well as other frameworks. The platform is simple to use and one-stop shop from risk assessment to recommendations to tracking remediations.
