What do you like best about the product?
Being able to track our progress in a certain framework in Jira is really helpful and helps my team stay on track with our work.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI has quite the learning curve and actually making sure that we do the work is really important to keep up with our compliance.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are accomplishing more tasks than we originally thought we could and that is all thanks to Apptega.

Making compliance and cybersecurity EASY!!
What do you like best about the product?
Apptega is arranged nicely to control compliance. The app helps you to manage your security frameworks. In other words, you have everything under one umbrella. Couldn't ask for anything better
What do you dislike about the product?
I'll be honest, my first time logging into apptega, It was a bit confusing. After familiarizing myself with the controls/subcontrols and also undergoing training with an apptega rep, it became easy to navigate around.

A Great Companion for Cybersecurity Compliance
What do you like best about the product?
Intuitive UI, role-based access, document repository, great templates - for a small business as ourselves, Apptega is a huge time saver for meeting compliance and keeping everything organized. It's also easy to customize and great for providing compliance services to clients.
What do you dislike about the product?
A bit pricey! But that's all. Great platform
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cybersecurity compliance and CMMC assessment for clients.
Very well designed tool for managing compliance
What do you like best about the product?
Tool is easy to use and navigate, great for cross walking and mapping frameworks. Apptega team was helpful onboarding us and trainning us, and provide us with pretty good support. We have a dedicated Customer Success Manager and she is great to work with.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not ALL the polcies are there, but the team is reponsive and working add more policies.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Preparation for SOC2 and FedRamp assessement. Organization of controls information and documentation.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
We reseached number of tools, this is about the best we found for price and capabilites. Apptega has done a fantastic job of making this tool easy to use and administer. Good Job Apptega team.
Apptega is GREAT!
What do you like best about the product?
It's very user friendly and easy to navigate through.
What do you dislike about the product?
There aren't many downsides to using it. Any troubles I have had while using Apptega were resolved with the assistance of the stellar customer service.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Apptega has helped my company accurately and efficiently track our security compliance. The features and integrations have helped us to easily identify areas to improve workflows and reporting processes.
Apptega organizes compliance preparation in an easy to address manner
What do you like best about the product?
The platform is easy to use and has the ability to organize and assign tasks to get ready for your compliance audit. Assigning tasks allows me to collaborate with other members of the team to complete items that may be outside of my area of expertise. Those team members can then comment and leave any information pertaining to that particular control.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have not run into a piece of the platform I dislike yet. It is a robust system with many features so there is a learning curve but our Apptega representative has answered all my questions and gave me great training on the features I hadn't discovered yet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The organization of Apptega's dashboard makes it easy for anyone to get ready for compliance. All the information I need is readily available for me to address. The biggest benefit is having all the required compliance knowledge at your fingertips. Teams don't need to spend time gathering information about each compliance, it is available to you in an easy to read format.
Establish security and risk governance practices
What do you like best about the product?
We have signed up with AppTega in 2018. Over the course of the next two years AppTega was instrumental in helping us organize our security controls, information security and data privacy compliance. Application was friendly to use allowing us to pick whichever control group or compliance framework we are interested in, and distribute the work among the team to ensure continuous progress. Certainly helped to solidify processes, was great for the size of our organization and team at that time.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lack of automatic evidence collection.
Lack of pre populated/generated compliance/framework specific standard questionnaires.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest problem that AppTega empowered us to solve was establishment of a more formal security and risk governance based on picked frameworks . We were able to create and adjust policies guided by it. Would certainly recommend AppTega to a small organization establishing and formalizing its security controls and policies.
Apptega for managing security framework
What do you like best about the product?
It is easy to use and organized well. The team is helpful and friendly.
What do you dislike about the product?
No complaints. Working with Apptega and their team has been an amazing experience!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are leveraging Apptega to manage our HIPAA posture and other security framework and compliance.

Excellent customer support but an immature product
What do you like best about the product?
The Customer Success Manager, Engineers, and support team are very responsive to our requests and work diligently to configure the software to meet our needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
The software is not mature enough for our industry (Finance). The workflows do not give us a value proposition over our current methods of tracking compliance.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to create nice visuals around our compliance metrics. We are hoping to be able to leverage the software to create a force multiplier around our compliance monitoring efforts.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
My review is based on an out-of-ordinary implementation of Apptega. They have made a valiant attempt at adapting the software for FFIEC compliance. I feel like they are heading in the right direction but need some more time to mature the product in this area.

Bulk loading features are a bit limited.
