Completing Shared Work in teams gets easier with GitLab
What do you like best about the product?
Easy To use especially if you are familiar with GitHub related Commands. Great for a Team working on a single project and Different modules.
What do you dislike about the product?
You have to be well acquainted with the commands and the process First.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I was working on a project with a team and the major benefit was everybody could work on their separate modules and then the changes could be merged easily at the end of the Day.

What do you like best about the product?
The most practical advantages of GitLab are they are easy to use, it is also a version controlling system that is similar to GitHub, and This is easy for hosting Jekyll and other static hosting sites.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Disadvantage in the Gitlab is that it did not have Dynamic hosting like server side rendering that we make so many pages in the modern world which is the disadvantages in this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The Bussines problems I solved using this Gitlab-- are hosting the Company website, which won't frequently change in Jekyll, and hosting them freely in the Gitlab, which helps us in a bit of budget.

GitLab helps us manage our source code and performs version control.

GitLabs unfortunately does not have the same set of functionality as GitHub.

We are able to review code very efficiently.

What do you like best about the product?
I love several things about Gitlab but here are a few:
- Free and Easy to Use
- Open Source
- Helps you maintain Working Code copy on Remote Repository
- Easy Collaboration
- Easy to Merge code, resolve conflicts
- Can add branches to make sure master/working copy of the code is not affected
- User Roles, Privileges help with project management
There are many more advantages of using this tool but these were some of the top!

What do you dislike about the product?
Not a single thing, literally. The UI is good and easy and you can get almost everything done on the UI part. Be it raising merge requests, editing/uploading files, creating/deleting branches, etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps with code management using a central repository. It also lets you have User Roles and Privileges using which it becomes easier to manage projects. Combine all this with the Git Bash tool and you can perform all the actions via command line.

Gitlab is a very good version control software it is very helpful in developing and maintaining the project. It store your codes safe. Also it provides best User Interface as compare to the other competitors.

Sometimes I faced slow response.
Command line Interface is missing in gitlab,
I found it is hard to configure CICD in the first set-up. Some free features are restricted now.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
GitLab is helping me in maintaining the code base of my projects. It decreased the overall project development and testing time.With that buisness performance get increased.

What do you like best about the product?
GitLab is a secure and highly available SCM service that can use with other premium features for free. GitLab provides CI integration and shared runners for DevOps implementation. It also has a community version that can be self-host in any cloud or local server.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't think of anything which I don't like about Gitlab but I world say Default shared runners provide a build for free but they are really very slow as compared to other similar services.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
GitLab provides us the space where we can store and share our codebase with the developers. It also allows us to deploy the application with its DevOps features. We can add our own runners which ensures faster deployments of the code.

What do you like best about the product?
The UI of gitlab makes it user friendly the various ways to view the changes made in each commit and each push request makes it easy to track where it has gone wrong. The management of repositories becomes easy and its integration with jenkins and other CI CD pipeline softwares makes it easy to deploy
What do you dislike about the product?
There is not much to dislike the UI sometimes is more clumsy which can be made clear while comparing multiple files.

What do you like best about the product?
private Git lab can be hosted and we can integrate GitLab with different testing tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes if a user change device and wants to access their own repo it is very hard to configure because of the hard security of the git lab
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
IT is the best Version controling tools. Also we can use git lab as a Project management tools

What do you like best about the product?
The comment and description fields functional. They allow markdown and attachments which really help with making Merge Requests more descriptive. It's also great that the task management system is on the same platform. Easy to keep track of issues and link them together.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing major. Some of the functionalities aren't fully compatible on mobile browsers. For example, managing a board and moving tasks around is pretty tedious. But that's just nitpicking.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Merge Requests for code pushes are very easy to compare, review and resolve. The UI makes it easy to manage branches, merge permissions and so on. It's easy to set up and makes the team more productive.
