A secured operating system for enterprise

  • April 30, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It is one of most reliable and secure operating system that provides robust features and extensive support options. Its stable and scalable platform is widely used in enterprise environments for mission-critical applications. With its open-source approach and flexible deployment options, it's a top choice for businesses of all sizes.
Also the customer support is amazing if required any troubleshooting or to get any report on root cause analysis for any incident or problem.
What do you dislike about the product?
On of biggest drawback is its cli based usage. UI need to be designed so that we can get what is working and going in backend hassle free like other operating systems. Some critical commands are also left open which can halt system when used normally.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Red hat helped me in making services run on low end specs without high demand for resources. As comes whith command line option so its fast and quick compared to GUI based operating systems.

Safe and Secure OS

  • April 24, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
One of the leading Enterprise systems for Linux, it provides stability, scalability and automation. It's not only limited to on-prem but is also cloud-native, meaning it can be deployed on any cloud VM. It provides a secure way of running the apps. We have been running thousands of kubernetes pods on this without any disruption.
What do you dislike about the product?
RHEL is an enterprise edition of Linux. So it might not be adaptable for some small industries looking for an open-source solution. Apart from this I do not see any other downside.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were looking for a safe and secure way to build our Kubernetes platform, whether on-prem or cloud. Considering the vulnerabilities threat, we do not want to use some open source OS. RHEL came to our rescue, and we have been using it as our underlying OS for managing our nodes. At the same time, we were also looking for secure container images and ended up using the RHEL-backed container images.
