More performing and secure Linux after the acquisition by IBM
What do you like best about the product?
After the transition to the IBM world, this Linux release has taken on a greater value for use in production, for the more services now guaranteed from one of the most trusted brands in the industry
What do you dislike about the product?
With the latest change of hands between companies, the test distribution, marketed as CentOS, is disappearing with the good peace of developers from all over the world
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With the transition to the well-known Armonk brand, they have been merged with the other services they offer extensively, and this is bringing benefits to everyone both from the point of view of product stability and from the point of view of support which is notoriously managed at a high level

What do you like best about the product?
It is productive and very light also commands are almost same as every Linux OS and more likely it supports almost all of commands as same

Complexity, some commands do not work as they should

Variety of problems, like upgrading dbs and mostly every integration is with this is only that's why it's easy to solve using.

its installation isn't the smoothest and applications choices are limited but web server apps and custom software makes the platform sing.

We needed an affordable and scalable web server. Linux fits the bill

What do you like best about the product?
It's user friendly os and it's more secured
Easy to patch , will get good vendor support from redhat.we can use container in redhat that's easy to manage compared to other platforms

Sometimes while installing the packages we may see the error that is usual.but fix will not apply for all servers.i beleive redhat 8.1 overcome those issues, it looks to be stable

It's easy to patch and more user friendly
We can do containersation and we can do more cron jobs and automation by using rundeck,shell scripting, puppets, ansible etc

It's a top operating systems for business. Bulit in security features and profiles. It can reduce risk and better maintain compliance. End to end encryption and portable environment.

Difficult to find distributions of Linus where you have vendor support. Poor open source support for some hardware. Lack of commercial support and compatibility issues.

Organizations can reduce risk and better maintain compaliance. Stability and reliability, security, custimizability and cost effectiveness. It's an open source operating system.

Nothing as such just for the first time user person need to learn alot of things

It is helping in automation using the ansible, having great base of integration and its highly secured

Easy to schedule maintenance jobs and send alerts and the performance is really good when processing large transactions and traffic.

Personalized solutions and expensive training are lacking, making some products and configurations less attractive.

Redhat Linux is quite secured OS which is best part.

Ease of use is bit complex and not that user friendly who comes from GUI world.

Provides OS with high level of security and large base of integration

Well supported OS, for those where highly available linux is needed for server setup and easy configuration. Can be used with tools like ansible, other orchestration.

GUI can be made more user friendly and simple.
