Incredible APM tool
What do you like best about the product?
The most I like about this tool is it's interactive, simplistic and provides you with any application data you can think of.
The way it presents BTs and Metrics and Dashboards is amazing.

What do you dislike about the product?
It is heavy, and requires lots of server resources when monitoring multiple applications. Also, reporting is not great but the vendors are still working on improving it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are enrolling AppDynamics into the whole Wells Fargo environment. Creating major and important application dashboards and viewing them at a glance and figuring out the issues application is facing resolves the time issues in case issue arises. Plus alerting system in AppDynamics is great too which alerts in case of any crashes.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Really great product. Would make your life easier.
It's a good tool (for pre-production stages) but not relevant for problem solving
What do you like best about the product?
- A lot of information about your system is provided, performance wise.
- We are able to look into the inner workings of our current system
- Clean and intuitive interface and allows users to get information with just one glance.
- Identification of issues are now easier than ever, at both customer levels and infrastructure (backend) levels
- Support is ok
- One good thing about this is that the community is growing into a sizeable amount. you are able to find tutorials on the net easily.
- We are able to look into the inner workings of our current system
- Clean and intuitive interface and allows users to get information with just one glance.
- Identification of issues are now easier than ever, at both customer levels and infrastructure (backend) levels
- Support is ok
- One good thing about this is that the community is growing into a sizeable amount. you are able to find tutorials on the net easily.
What do you dislike about the product?
- The learning curve is relatively steep due to all the advanced features which my business requires
- Weird bugs which annoys my development team - sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt??
- It requires major planning prior to implementation - if you are already on production environment, this will require you to tear down your existing infrastructure.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are trying to monitor the performance of our new system and streamline processes which potentially can help our staff do their work with better efficiency.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
For current systems which are already live, implementing this may be a hassle and chore. Recommended for those who are interested in monitoring their new systems, with regards to performance, to use this instead.

What do you like best about the product?
I like that the software is user friendly and that its easy to connect to business applications.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing that I dislike is that the software doesn't create an excell or word document report.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The company is using the software to track and detect errors and issues with business transactions. The software has been beneficial in helping the company solve errors before deploying into production.

Do your research on the product to weigh the pros and cons based on your company
Excellent APM tool with great dashboard support
What do you like best about the product?
Simplicity to integrate agents with code along with great details to measure many matrices. These matrices help to build dashboards which provides great insights for application.
What do you dislike about the product?
Synthetic monitoring abilities provided by the product are really minuscule. The expectation from this tool in providing synthetic monitoring are high as it is very inconvenient to rely to different tool for just for one purpose.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
AppDynanics helps to get great insights from the applications without relying on information provided by the application logs.

What do you like best about the product?
App Dynamics makes it a lot easier for us to learn how our customer is using our app and to learn what screens they are spending the most time on. This helps us learn the average user experience and to make data-driven decisions when redesigning our app.
What do you dislike about the product?
Initial setup can be tricky when our app using multiple programming languages since we embed web apps in native code

Like the feature of the Overview where we see all apps interacting with our app and TPS

reporting is not acurate. There is no way to change baseline limits

Great tool for monitoring and maintaining SLA
What do you like best about the product?
AppDynamics is a great monitoring tool and the alerts and dashboards helps us monitor our servers and helps filter response codes, even business team with minimal technical knowledge can open the dashboards and see our application performance, besides that it will send alerts to our mailing group which are very useful. The toplogy created by communication amongst our servers/Databases helps to understand the traffic flow.
The drilldown capability helps track down the nodes levels and see the JVM errors/exceptions.

Learning curve and more tutorials need to be created for beginners.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helps strictly in maintaining SLA's we can identify any issues before customer communciates us to with problem so we can mitigate them

What do you like best about the product?
I like the easy way to creat dashboards and reports , This tool allows yoy to generate dashboards that allow the users to show the performance of the applications , allows to email reports to users on certain time intervals.
What do you dislike about the product?
Need training to know the internals of this. Needs to understand the POJO's to code to generate the reports.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Create dashboards to show the performance .

This product is good for monitoring your application generating reports etc.
