Most of our business scenarios worked very well.
Not low-code or one size fits all - but powerful with enough time and patience.
What do you like best about the product?
Our Sales/Account rep was great to work with, they really seemed to get our pain points and advocate for us with technical support. The online support community has a ton of articles and shared ideas between users.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is not a low-code BI solution. Most of the dashboard and widget customizations have very few WYSIWYG options, it's mostly all customizing code. Just trying to bold text, format tables, or adding our branding colors requires JQuery and API access. On the reliability side of things, we were never able to fully implement Sisense as our only reporting/BI method for end-users. It was a near-weekly occurrence that we'd design and develop a dashboard to be shared with end-users, only to find that overnight it doesn't work anymore, having tested and worked 100% the day before. Authoring dashboards and widgets were also very cumbersome, often taking multiple attempts to achieve simple actions, like drag-n-drop moving of elements and organizing with folders. Their support hours and response times did not at all align with our company's working hours or expectations. The amount of time our development team had to repeatedly spend away from improving our own software to get Sisense working and keep working was way too much.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were at first able to offset some of the SQL/report creation from being a development task to other staff. A few times were could turn around an end-user request faster than having to rely solely on the development staff. Running a very lean team, the benefit of having a dedicated developer or team of developers just to implement embedded analytics would be of great benefit to fully utilize the depth and power Sisense does offer, with some elbow grease.
Great online performance, still complex to alter design
What do you like best about the product?
Using Sisense as an online BI tool helps mee show customers a state of the art Slice and Dicing tool voor our data.
What do you dislike about the product?
Unfortunatlly i would like to alter the design much more to a sleek design (Less is more), there are still a lot of options availible that i cant get rid off.

What do you like best about the product?
The easy UI build alerts and pulse notification, the most helpful we found was Google Bigquery API as we are mostly using GCS and bigquery as storage

The documentation for developing custom plugins and feature was not so detail

We are building datasources and dashboards to enable data driven decision making in the organization
Excellent product to visualize data and presentation
What do you like best about the product?
Sisense is an extremely helpful tool to get a look-and-feel of data. It provides you with the platform to explain data in a chart/picture/graph format, which immensely helps in visualizing the data. You can make drop-down charts, geographical maps, bubble charts, scatter plots, bar and column charts and whatnot.
What do you dislike about the product?
It has fewer functionalities compared to other popular tools like Tableau, Power BI etc. Also, it is less intuitive compared to others. There is an add-on hassle of building cubes first and then presenting to a chart structure. It becomes difficult for the developer to understand the logic of cube building and then modelling it. Straight-forward implementation of charts is not present.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is very difficult to explain raw data to end-user. As very well said that "pictures speak louder than words". Sisense helps the developer to provide a pictorial representation of the raw data. There are various options to choose from like bar chart, pie chart, geographical representation etc. It becomes extremely easy for the end-user to comprehend the information presented. We use Amazon Redshift for the database in our organization. It is extremely easy to connect with the database and present to the user the information in the pictorial format without even going through the raw data in tabular form.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Everyone who is in the field of Business Intelligence or Data Analytics or Data Science should try sisense. At first, it would look a little difficult to work with it, but it becomes easy and when you continue using it.

What do you like best about the product?
As far as Business Intelligence tools are concerned, I think Sisense is the best in the market. The following are the few things I like about Sisense:
1. The user interface is very good both for dashboards and datamodel
2. Interactive widgets
3. It is reasonably very fast
4. Sisense REST API
5. Wide range of widgets to choose from when building a dashboard
6. Creating custom columns in Sisense
7. Integrating Sisense with webpages worked out very well for us
8. Sharing dashboard and datamodel between groups and users
9. Build failure notifications can be integrated, we can receive notification though Google Chat, Slack etc
10. Dashboard can be exported as PDF
11. Sisense has online training sessions that help people get onboarded to Sisense fast

13. Frequent updates

I have noticed a few bugs with the plugins but nothing major so far
When we upgrade to a new version, the dashboards do not work the way they are expected to
There could be an automation for directly moving dashboards and Elasticubes from one environment to another.
The documentation can be improved
Sisense is a little too expensive I believe.

Sisense For Next Generation Visualization
What do you like best about the product?
Sisense is a tool that helps providing great visualization. The cube functionality is back bone for this. Also it storage meta data into the mongodb that helps the performance tracking of dashboards. The are really great visualization, tabber functionality, connecting R and Python and doing time series analysis over here is super. It is very easy to create a cube and dashboard over it. It is like plug in. There is additional capability like creating your customer addon on java script and appending into this. There one additional awesome feature that is adding the other source dashboard into the sisense via iframe. It uses simple odbc connection. There is solid community support as well as well explain documents about its functionality. If I talk about data connection then it support most of the connection like excel, good sheet, custom query, redshift, sql etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is few constrain like case when doesn't support character data for condition. There is very few functionality of machine learning aspects etc. It is required to have more chart from d3 library. There is additional functionality required that can solve the problem of olap (online analytical processing) problems. Like defining the dimension. layer, hierarchy etc.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is used for reporting the all the possible business question a business leader can ask. It is very easy to use and very intuitive to understand. Business leaders with no tech experience, liked it very much.

If you want to solve your end to end reporting and analytics problem, i would highly recommend to use the Sisense. It can solve your problem very easily and intuitively

What do you like best about the product?
Sisense is really a good tool to view business insights of data which is needed and used for business purpose and development.The UI and widget design and filter and Data cubes are user friendly to create and manage.And its easy to use on any level of experience with minimal support.Based on the Data model and Dashboard easily we can track many data and take decision based on it.Pulse - gives an proper diagnosis on the dashboard builds with notifications support integrated with chats as well.Sharing the Data model and Dashboard are cool which is must and way the data is shown and supported is appreciable.It is so convenient to implement and access data from multiple sources like AWS,GCP and many more.Even the data from local source also can be used for need.
What do you dislike about the product?
As an user , i feel sometimes formulae used in widgets are not quite understandable.Apart from that creating dashboard initially has some level of understanding about widgets.Many times i had to take help to understand it.Once we are well versed then it is easy to use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Business solutions are solved and planned using sisense dashboard created based on the requirements.It reduces the time to retrieve data to see all types and needs of organisation.Based on that many solutions or planning is performed.Analysing the data also inhibits based on sisense dashaboards.And even the data models supports multi source data which is really nice way to use data across domains.

Most of the time, the main problem has been the stability of the application. Almost 90% of users has reported slowness of the issues. It could be due to the bad design of the datasources or dashboards. But, it has been a consistent problem.
Intermittent build failures due to various reasons has been a consistent problem.
Intermittently sisense shows wrong build status. After refresh, it shows correct.
Functionality:
Derived metrics (formulaes) cannot be created and stored at datasource level. So it has to be recreated for every dashboard that uses the same elasticube.
Migration (promoting dashboards and datasources to higher environments):
There could have been more smooth approach for migration.

Powerful tool for powerful Visual Reports
What do you like best about the product?
Sisense is very useful and efficiently utilizes not only system memory but also the CPU memory to provide speed when you're working with the big data sets. Sisense works really well without much external support. Overall experience with the Sisense can be considered as excellent
What do you dislike about the product?
The problem is the sever sometimes it doesn't work well when you decide to work with the dashboard. if the server is down you have no access at all.

Real-time visibility to all the counterparts that is the best thing about the tool and it's very easy to use and the support team is really good
