Integrating comapany data and providing clients dashbaords as part of product. Sisense is a very complete solution with great customer support

Only Dashboard owner can edit dashboard. Sharing function can be much improved.

Complicated data visualization which we cannot create in our CRM
Amazing tool for visualizing data
What do you like best about the product?
Sisense is fantastic for visualizing data. Once a dashboard it set up, team members can easily filter to the data they need and export to PDF. This has helped us deliver tremendous value to our clients by slicing and dicing the data and reporting on things we were never able to combine and report on before. We can also do this so much more efficiently and timely. The number of questions i receive from my team has decreased because they can do find and pull the data themselves.
What do you dislike about the product?
Exporting - currently exporting to PDF is tricky. I often have to go into the dashboard and adjust columns, then preview my DPF, then adjust columns again prior to exporting to PDF. It would be fantastic if there was a fit to page option. Additionally, being able to export to PPT would be invaluable.

kind of complete tools but lack severals improvements compared to other products on the market
What do you like best about the product?
- design of widget looks nice & professional
- user friendly ( most of the basic needs are intuitive)
- loading of widget is fast
- cube building makes our life easier because data is consistent in all dashboards and you query your database only once.

What do you dislike about the product?
- lack SQL possibility (easily to maintain)
- when upgrading system , dashboards crashed
- server down when too much CPU instead of killing the instance that takes too much CPU
- when creating a widget , I always click on advanced configuration and would like to skip this useless step ( I don't know any user that use the "simple configuration"
- need more customization of widget ( makes number appears only for certain spline and not all ect...)
- widget layout customization takes a lot of human time by (inserting javascript , lots of click to go to the script ect....)
- auto scale for graphing doesn't always work efficiently

fewer query to our data warehouse : we build cubes which make single query to our amazon warehose and plug all our dashboards on it so dashboards are refreshing faster than before ( before we had one query to our datawarehouse for every widget and dashboards were taking forever ton run each time we changed dashboards' filter )
Recommendations to others considering the product:
be sure it fits your need because you can't make easy SQL query once you have build your cube

What do you like best about the product?
The customizations have been very useful and personalizing each dashboard for my staff is awesome. The ease of use of the front end for my staff is also a plus.
What do you dislike about the product?
How only admins can modify the cube, not designers. Forcing those who design to request assistance from the admins for simple task.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating automatic delivery of data/reports to staff who were once manually going in filling out spreadsheets on a daily bases taking up time.
Lot of potential and room for improvement
What do you like best about the product?
The In Memory capabilities make Sisense really fast compared to other BI Tool. Changing filters are almost instant.
A lot of customization and cool features (such as Blox), but you have to learn javascript (and sometimes get your hands dirty).
Overall UI is nice and users love the responsiveness and interactivity!
Once everything is setup correctly, it works really well, but it takes a lot of time to get everything correct.

What do you dislike about the product?
- Cube Modelization : Inner join only, which is really not intuitive. Also, you really need to have clean data before building cubes.
- Formula Management : Every formula you save can be seen by every designer. If you edit a formula, it does not modify values where you placed the formula!
- Upgrading breaks a lot of things (in our case), and we are managed services.
- Folder ownership cannot be modified (at least in the ui)
Overall, it is not really flexible in an agile/modern data team because analytical needs change a lot. In tools like persicope, you can just write a quick query while in Sisense with elasticubes, you need to design your cube by having a complete picture of business needs (which is almost impossible).

Before we used Periscope but it was too ressource intensive on our data warehouse. Sisense solved it it elasticubes.
Sisense also helped us to better organize our tables and improved our data governance (a cube being a single source of thruth).

Creating Datamodels and Dashboard is very intuitive, once properly configured, sisense is easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
some limitations on cube datamodels (composite keys) some basic functionalities as time filtering have some issues.

Dynamic dashboards are available for users, they can select dimensions and filter on a easy basis

One of the only tools that properly connects to and works with our NoSQL database, and allows us to prototype and make changes for end-users quickly.

It is slow to build from large datasets.

Sometimes I am confused by the product a bit, but the team helps me to work through any issues.
