Sisense, solid "dashboard" style tool
What do you like best about the product?
Probably the drill down and filtering capabilities.
What do you dislike about the product?
Having to make copies of of dashboards in order to alter layouts and create new or added functionality.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sisense has allowed us to "can" valuable reporting, so users can access the information directly rather than waiting for me to develop a report. Allows me to jump into the analysis sooner because I do not need to spend as much time creating reports.

What do you like best about the product?
I like how quick it can be. Good visualizations.
What do you dislike about the product?
Publishing dashboards to PDF leaves ALOT to be desired. It just doesn't seem to auto-adjust to a regular 8.5x11 type of format and the tabber plugin looks AWEFUL when exported in a PDF.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Faster extraction of data. Easier usage of filters.
Has allowed our organization to be a little more "self service" on the data front versus all requests going through the FP&A team.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure you have a data warehouse set up initially. Have someone internally who is proficient in SQL on hand to do the setup. This will help bridge business rules with tech needs.
Best BI & Basic ETL Tool for our Diverse Data Needs
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to connect and do basic table combination and manipulation. End-user interface is easy to learn and helped us drive quick adoption. Great resources for learning and good support teams that work diligently to answer questions and solve issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
Hard to say something is truly a 'dislike', but there are a couple of features that I hope they roll out soon - 1. adjustable time axes (ex. end-user can toggle between week, month, quarter, and year granularity). 2. ability to automate the sending of csv's directly to end users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A lot of things have been quickly solved with Sisense. Ease of use driving frequency of use was a big push for us. We have now received feedback from our execs that they used our old system 1/month and now they don't go a day without being in Sisense to keep tabs on their departments. They feel better in tune with what is going on. We also really wanted to get past long build and update times and our speed to deployment and edit went from hours to minutes. Being able to edit live on a call and instantly show a business user the new results has been incredible.

What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use & easy calculations with little or no training. Nice & easy interface.
What do you dislike about the product?
A little easier way of doing advanced analytics would have been great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Large amounts of data churned very quickly.

Great BI for self service analytics.

Sisense provides a complete functionality - extraction of source data, building of data models using GUI, reporting and also AI/ML functionalities
What do you dislike about the product?
The incremental data logic could be refined to truly extract incremental data
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Reporting for Sales. Operations & Leadership team. What used to take weeks in excel is now being done in hours in Sisense.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Sisense is a great starter product as it encompasses all the features in one. Good for a small growing company.
Development was slow at first but once - eCube was in decent shape it's gone much smoother.
What do you like best about the product?
I like the flexibility and customization that can be done using BLox widgets.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some simple things are challenging. For example publishing multiple dashboards at once and multi-user development clunky.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Business Line performance dashboards and self service. Using the various blox and accoordian widges provided users with multitude of reports within 1 click.

Until recently, the report manager setup. Since installing the new version of report manager that experience was greatly improved.

Charting is quick and easy, nos loss of time in handling dashboard formatting.

Lack of customisation out of the box, need to rely on Python for advanced visualisation.
No automatic refresh for filters value from database.
Cache features are not available for all cloud data warehouse.
Python charting library limited to plot.ly.
Python debugging made difficult due to the integrated environment.
Navigation option not very clear since there is no folder / tree view available.

Product problems are solved using Sisense. Finding the initial answer to a business question which might lead to a solution or a track to deeper analysis.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
In an agile environment with low resources dedicated to analysis, Sisense for Cloud Data Team perform very well. Ease of use and quickness to deploy dashboard and view can help turn data into insight as the product is being built.
Comprehensive, fun to play with, but can be challenging for a non-technical audience.

Keeping up with all the release versions

Replacing or building on an outdated reporting model. The application provides an updated look and feel as well as efficiency to the user.
Incredible core platform, some challenges on long tail use cases
What do you like best about the product?
Its an incredibly strong core platform, the data visualizations are excellent, the entire data journey is built into a single solution, and it's intuitive for a non-technical user. The account team, while a bit of a rotating door, is well informed on the product and a pleasure to work with.
What do you dislike about the product?
The platform has offered numerous challenges to scale as we've attempted to account for long tail enterprise level requirements. Particularly around the security & identity federation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using it as an embedded BI solution for an enterprise saas platform. The benefits have been primarily related to user experience and the creation of revenue generating 'analytics products'.
