Sisense is an easy to use, customizable data visualization tool
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use, visual appeal, and customization options. Active user community and friendly tech support staff. The ability to make live connections to our AWS environment is a big upside.
What do you dislike about the product?
Upgrades have been destabilizing, requiring help from their support team to get back up and running each time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Sisense to visualize customer data and analysis results, and embed those visuals in our software.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use interface. Can create dashboards extremely quickly and have a lot of flexibility in how you present data.
What do you dislike about the product?
Multitenancy is still under development.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Reporting. Realtime reporting is a huge value add despite the infrastructure costs.
Very responsive and eager to support our analytics needs.

Account representatives stay close and proactively look for opportunities to expand our relationship.

Still some glitches in some of the underlying analytics services, though Sisense prioritizes fixes quickly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use analytics to help our clients. We often push the limits of Sisense capability, which assures we are staying ahead of the analytics market for our offerings.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use Buck for people analytics support.

What do you like best about the product?
I have been always using tableau. I am pretty good at tableau. We are now using your product and I find it Very similar Which makes the use of which I use it easier. I like the functionality of it.
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not like to cubes. These are difficult to connect and make sure you have all the correct relationships. If you are not able to connect the cubes correctly, then you cannot see the data that you want it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We work with hospitals and I am looking at data such as turnaround time and utilization. These are the big things that we look at

get rid of the cube and find another way

Ease of use and it's overall look and feel.

I wish I had the ability to create more analytics/widgets on my own. Without the need for an engineer.

I'm able to showing my clients the value behind the data and how it can impact their long term goals and initiatives.

Embedded analytics
What do you like best about the product?
The designer capabilities are very intuitive and their support and account management are very responsive. The onboarding process to use Sisense as an embedded analytics solution included time spent with developers on their end who were very knowledgeable and responsive to our questions and concerns. Active community with lots of plugins, both supported and unsupported.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is complicated to control levels of permissions between full designer and limited viewer. We have many use cases where we wish to give limited designer capabilities and this does not exist out of the box requiring you to modify JS and mongo DBs to create roles for limited design.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

What do you like best about the product?
The look of the reports. The ability to switch between pie chart, bar graph, etc. is a nice feature.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI is sometimes a little confusing when you are trying to make a report larger, the buttons are very close to each other and not clear on what does what.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Lack of reports and very slow to load data.

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of implementing out-of-the-box formulas. Using ElastiCube is seamless in both creating new connections, creating custom queries, and creating custom relationships within the ECM.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is some difficulty in formatting table/pivot table views, but nothing that is a severe roadblock in reporting. The overall pivot table functionality is extremely useful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are creating custom reports for customers, as well as using Sisense for internal reports across several of our teams.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Ensure that you have the resources to set up integration to necessary data sources.

How quick and easy it is to create meaningful visualizations!

How you're unable to add "ad-hoc" data to a chart. Say I want to FORCE a certain number as a value or so.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Automatic reporting to our clients and able to manage large amount of sales data at once.
Sisense has built a very flexible reporting tool but their support is often underwhelming
What do you like best about the product?
Sisense functionality is very customizable, so if you're willing to dig in and learn a little javascript you can configure reports to do almost anything. We have had a good experience with our customer success manager, who has been very helpful in advocating for us during upgrades and when we've encountered issues with the support team being inexperienced or unhelpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sisense has a very flexible full stack reporting tool, which means that customers have implemented it in a variety of ways. Unfortunately, the product doesn't necessarily support any of these implementations very well, leading to product instability. In our case, we use it as an embedded reporting solution so instability in our reporting solution translates to customers losing trust in our products.
Sisense also relies very heavily on plugins to add functionality, but they don't maintain their plugins particularly well, or do any documentation around versioning, so it's almost guaranteed that you'll run into compatibility issues with your version of sisense and any plugins you need.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Sisense as an embedded reporting solution and utilize the full stack of ETL, data source, and dashboards. We can support many customers on our current implementation, but as I mentioned before, we tend to also run into issues with stability on their platform.
