Not enough hands on experience to offer real insights (sorry)
What do you like best about the product?
It has the potential to be quite powerful in maintaining a true RBAC ethos within a company's environment.
As I am not across the ins and outs of administering the product I cannot comment too much on this nor give any endorsement through experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am not across the product in any detail so cannot comment on this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We want to automate the onboarding/offboarding of users and automate RBAC starting with the most used applications. Ideally we also want to use it for access reviews of SharePoint sites where we have sensitive data stored.
Making Identity Management Easier with Saviynt Automation
What do you like best about the product?
Saviynt is easy to navigate and automates tasks like adding groups, onboarding, removing DLs during offboarding, and applying technical rules — making daily IAM operations much easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
We encountered some duplicate account issues, especially during employee transfers when IDs were changed. However, through thorough auditing, we identified them quickly and worked with Saviynt to fix the issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Making Identity Management Easier with Saviynt Automation
Native Cloud Solution. Big room for improvement for Security on technical level
What do you like best about the product?
Native Cloud Solution. A lot of functionality could be done in a tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
Difficulties with support cases.
Changes in Saviynt responsible colleagues - difficult to build long lasting effective relations.
Not super easy, native and userfriendly interface for admins.
Lack of high security Standards and understanding in technical level of support and low priority/long time for such incidents.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Global solution for Identity management with global standard processes.
Good Product, some issues with support
What do you like best about the product?
The product is generally intuitive and doesn't require too much customization to get going. Getting connections to work is pretty easy, and for the most part there is decent documentation around how to set things up.
What do you dislike about the product?
When issues arise, it is difficult to get agents that can get to the root cause. Often they request meetings that end up being a rehash of what we have in the original ticket. Tickets stay open far too long before resolution.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are working towards having a centralized IAM environment where a product like Saviynt can be the source of truth for everything identity related. Saviynt as a product is proving to be capable of doing this although there are some concerns around scaling.
Installation is easy, but customising the forms cannot be done
What do you like best about the product?
Integration with other applications like ServiceNow and PeopleSoft
What do you dislike about the product?
The forms in ServiceNow cannot be modified (not sure if this is true, but that's what the third-party contractors keep telling us).
The front end forms in the Service Portal lack proper descriptions and detailed labels - a standard user would struggle to know which form to fill in, and the terminology is confusing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Single source - currently our data is spread accross multiple applications. Saviynt will become the single source of truth for Identity and Access Management.
Newest features providing increased efficiency
What do you like best about the product?
Single pain of glass to see all of my environment from the same interface. The privilaged access features are becoming more robust and the available customizations are very good
What do you dislike about the product?
It's a bit slow in larger environments. Some of the operations take too long to complete.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Attestations, privileged access management, account lifecycle and provisioning
ITs good for workflow automation
What do you like best about the product?
Configuration and Customization can be perfromed
What do you dislike about the product?
Not as such but at times the restrictions to do locally
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Access Management automation and Audit
Constantly improving
What do you like best about the product?
I have been working with Saviynt to resovle a slew of issues we have with provisioning, entitlement management, jobs getting stuck etc. Saviynt team has been very engaging and has helped to stabilize the infrastructure and fix the core issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
Even though Saviynt has the multi tenent model, every upgrade/update requires extensive testing by the customers which is a painful process. Many time, existing functionalites break during this process.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Saviynt is our IGA platform that provisions/deprovisions accounts to our major platforms. We use it for entitlement management and for recertifying access.
A short sentence
What do you like best about the product?
A central AIM platform which could gather all access/identity information in one place a cross the enterprise
What do you dislike about the product?
Users' access review module could be more efficient.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
gathering all Access information
Offers a good alerting system and integrates with SIEM solutions but main difficulty was the integration process
How has it helped my organization?
The risk management capabilities have GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance).
Saviynt has an alerting system and integrates with SIEM solutions. Those things are very helpful in terms of managing risk.
It is easy to integrate it with third-party solutions. There were some troubleshooting issues, but we were able to resolve them successfully. It's not easy, but we were able to do it.
The main difficulty was the integration process itself. But we were able to kind of work through it and fix it. We tried integrating with our HR system and other IBM solutions, like Microsoft Identity Management.
What is most valuable?
The features are more extensive than those available in Entra ID.
It is very easy to use. It addresses most of the trends in identity governance and risk management.
What needs improvement?
There is room for improvement in customer service and support. The response time could be faster.
For how long have I used the solution?
I have been working with Saviynt for a year.
How are customer service and support?
The customer service and support are okay. We got good support so far.
The response time could be faster.
How would you rate customer service and support?
How was the initial setup?
The initial setup is straightforward. It usually takes around three months.
What was our ROI?
The ROI is impressive. It has definitely increased. The rate of ROI is good.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
The pricing is comparable to Azure Entra ID. Kind of the same.
So, the pricing is okay.
What other advice do I have?
I recommend it for smaller and medium-sized businesses. It is very well-known in the region and visible in the market.
For larger organizations, I haven't had the chance to recommend it because they are already using other IT tools. Mostly, they use SailPoint or a mix of tools like SailPoint and Saviynt.
Overall, I would rate the solution a seven out of ten.
