DataDome provide's excellent service at an affordable price.
What do you like best about the product?
Datadome provides a solid Bot Mitigation platform that allows you to easily analyze traffic and make informed decisions about traffic thats hitting your environment. The multitude of different models provides detailed information about threats as they are detected.
What do you dislike about the product?
The F5 Integration was a bit rough initially to get working. I ended up working with our customer support team to get the integration finalized, but I felt that the knowledge on their team was not as good as it could have been. We've also some some issues with our support team changing and us not being alerted.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Provide affordable and update to date bot mitigation for our external facing applications.
Great service and great customer support
What do you like best about the product?
We needed to protect our site from content scrapers and bots, and we found DataDome to be the perfect solution. DataDome integrated seamlessly into our systems and offers a clear dashboard to monitor traffic and blocks. Modifying custom rules is straightforward and immediate, and analyzing anomalies is quick and clear. Their customer service is highly responsive, providing solutions even for the most challenging bots, such as in cases of false negatives.
What do you dislike about the product?
As a service it is almost perfect: some improvements could be a larger set of historical data, currently limited to a 30-day time window, and more customization of the captcha page.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Bots were interacting with our system in an unpleasant way, causing many issues; DataDome is helping us blocking them and protecting our sites.

Under the hood, its real-time engine safeguards our traffic without requiring manual rule management. Instead, it intelligently adapts by learning from the website's behavior, ensuring seamless protection. Integration was smooth and hassle-free.
The entire team, from office staff to technical experts, has been fantastic—highly knowledgeable and truly dedicated to their product.

They help containing DDoS attacks by dynamically acting in quick & dirty (and smarty) mode.
Their mecanisms also help to identify legit bot traffic and blocks malicious bot traffic.

DataDome's bot protection delivers exceptional results with minimal effort. The implementation was remarkably straightforward - we actually tried Cloudflare first - Cloudflare took hundreds of hours of my time and just couldn't figure out how to protect us, DataDome took probably eight hours of my time. And the solution is way better
What sets DataDome apart is it's AI-Threat Detection with EXTREMELY low false positive rates. They have the ability to deliver clean, accurate analytics by effectively blocking malicious bot traffic. Their system blocked over 21,000 bad bot attempts in just one week (about 3,000 daily), eliminating about 4% of our total traffic that was identified as AI threats. The false positive ratio is impressively low at 0.0138%, ensuring legitimate users aren't affected.
The most valuable benefit has been the peace of mind knowing our data truly represents human behavior. As I mentioned to their team, "the most helpful thing for me is the relief that our analytics are much more clean and representative of actual human" activity. This clean data helps us make better business decisions based on genuine customer interactions rather than bot-generated noise.
DataDome's specialized protection for account creation has been crucial for preventing bots from creating fake accounts that would otherwise contaminate our Klaviyo email lists. Before implementing DataDome, these fake bot signups would automatically subscribe to emails, artificially inflate our analytics, and increase our marketing costs unnecessarily.
Their dashboard provides visibility into threats, breaking down the types of attacks (predominantly scraping in our case, with some spamming, scalping, and credential stuffing attempts). Their threat research team actively monitors traffic patterns to make adjustments as needed, providing an extra layer of security expertise.

Brilliant Hands Off Solution
What do you like best about the product?
Datadome has saved us from a number of large scale DDOS attacks that would have overwhelmed our in house solutions. The platform is very intuitive and little to no maintenance. Our site was already in Cloudfront and their integration with Lamdba made the integration simple. Very rarely do we hear from customers that were captcha'd or blocked by Datadome.
What do you dislike about the product?
The capctha interstitial can result in a poor user experience depending on the structure of your pages js. It works in almost all cases, but less conventional ajax calls can cause issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Datadome helps protect our content from scrappers. LLMs have made scraping attacks more prevalent as people look for training data. Its also lowered our infrastructure costs by limiting unnecessary load from scrappers and DDOS attacks. Support costs are also lower costs as developers are spending less time investigating anomalies and errors caused by bots.

An easy to use portal to manage, see and react to any Bot attacks.
What do you dislike about the product?
False positives do sometimes impact customers. Its unavoidable sometimes, but from time to time there seems to be a increase in false positives.

We are subject to manual scrapes, which often slip through the cracks.
