Simplifying Cloud Security with Netskope One

  • July 02, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
One of the main advantages of Netskope One Platform is consolidation. Instead of buying and managing separate tools for firewall, proxy, VPN, DLP, etc., organizations get everything in one place. This reduces complexity and improves response time to threats.
What do you dislike about the product?
For small to mid-sized businesses, licensing can be expensive, especially if deploying the full SASE suite.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Data Leakage from Cloud and Web

Problem: Users may upload, share, or download sensitive data to personal apps (e.g. Gmail, Dropbox).

How Netskope helps: Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies control where and how data can move — across web, SaaS, and private apps.

Increased security and threat detection save significant time

  • June 13, 2025
  • Review from a verified AWS customer

What is our primary use case?

My main use case for Netskope is for SWG and reverse proxy.

We have used Netskope for forward proxy to protect from different malicious websites, malicious links, and malicious files so that we can secure our environment.

How has it helped my organization?

Netskope has positively impacted our organization by securing all our systems, and the response time is also less, with a high catch rate for any incident.

What is most valuable?

The best features that Netskope offers in my experience include SSC for secure services, CASB which helps to protect from different attacks, SWG feature, cloud firewall, SDPN which helps to create an instant connection, and remote browser isolation which isolates uncategorized and risky websites.

Compared to Checkpoint as SaaS, the catch rate of Netskope was very high and the system consumption rate such as RAM, ROM, and memory consumption for Netskope was less compared to Checkpoint SaaS. Netskope has positively impacted our organization by securing all our systems, and the response time is also less, with a high catch rate for any incident.

What needs improvement?

Netskope's pricing is very high compared to other vendors, and compared to Zscaler, Netskope has less capability.

For how long have I used the solution?

In my last company, I have used Netskope for around one year.

What was my experience with deployment of the solution?

We encountered some challenges during the configuration process, but the Netskope support team helped us cope with all the challenges.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Netskope is stable, but sometimes it can cause some errors.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Netskope is scalable.

How are customer service and support?

The customer support experience was moderate. When asking critical questions, we did not receive responses on time, but for general queries, we received timely responses.

I would rate the customer support a six on a scale of one to ten.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Neutral

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I did not use a different solution before Netskope.

How was the initial setup?

The initial setup with Netskope was straightforward.

What was our ROI?

I have seen a return on investment with Netskope as we saved a lot of time by catching all the threats and thoroughly understanding the cases.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

I did not evaluate other options before choosing Netskope.

What other advice do I have?

There was an incident where a user was attempting to access a malicious website. The user's attempt caused a download of malicious software in the system, but because of Netskope, we were able to track all the logs and block that particular malware at the network level.

I cannot give an exact rate for how quickly Netskope detects and blocks threats because that rate changes every day.

Netskope is deployed in our organization as a hybrid cloud. We are using AWS as part of our hybrid cloud setup. We purchased Netskope through channels and other vendors, not through the AWS Marketplace.

The deployment of Netskope in our environment was medium scale. Billing depends on how you are using Netskope, and according to my experience, it should be discussed with sales people. Questions regarding pricing, setup cost, and licensing should be directed to higher management as I do not have visibility into these aspects.

If your company has a quite complex or normal setup, you can use Netskope as it is the best solution for catch rate and return on investment.

I rate Netskope eight out of ten because some complex issues are not diagnosed properly and responded to correctly by their support team, plus there are sometimes issues in the product.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

Provides secure remote access and web navigation protection with highly customizable features

  • May 22, 2025
  • Review from a verified AWS customer

What is our primary use case?

My main use cases for Netskope are to provide a secure way for remote access and eliminating traditional VPN, and also to protect the web navigation for the users.

What is most valuable?

The most helpful features in Netskope are the data loss prevention module, the anti-malware module, and the integration that it has with Information Rights Management from Microsoft.

It has better categorization and more granular features regarding web protection, as it allows me to control HTTP methods. I can publish WhatsApp web for my users as read-only, for example. Other providers cannot; they are only on and off, and do not have the granularity for a website to be read-only.

That comes with a downside, which is that they need to regularly update their controls to support those features in those websites.

What needs improvement?

In terms of improvements, the possibility to export the dashboards or the data directly to Power BI would be better. The solution has its own data, but you don't get much customization that perhaps you would be able to if you were somehow able to extract the data from an API call and load it into a Power BI dashboard.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been working with that tool for three years.

How are customer service and support?

If I were to describe Netskope support, I would say it is above average; it is very good. It's not yet excellent, however, it's very good.

It takes some time to get help as they always try to start from the beginning. There are several steps until I get a qualified, specialized technician. Most of the time, we are fairly IT savvy, so most of the issues we can resolve for ourselves, and when we open a ticket, it's something really complicated, yet we always face level one technicians that try to accomplish the same things that we already did. In those cases, we lose time until we get level two or level three support that helps us go into the situation better.

How would you rate customer service and support?

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

That's a tricky question regarding the pricing of Netskope. It's quite expensive. That said, if I compare that we did with other solutions, it's somehow justified.

What other advice do I have?

I don't know about Netskope providing any sort of AI features at this time. We haven't gone in that way yet, and I'm not aware. Our company's decision is that we're not going there yet.

I would rate Netskope an eight out of ten.

  • Review provided by PeerSpot

What is our primary use case?

We are using Netskope for DLP, email, and web protection. We also use it for CASB and as a proxy.

What is most valuable?

The centralized policy management is essential for applying consistent controls across all locations. The cloud enablement feature helps eliminate on-premises infrastructure by adopting Netskope. For threat detection and prevention, being able to lay down specific granular controls to block uploads to non-approved websites or web apps is very effective. Real-time protection enhances our security posture by providing continuous monitoring and prevention at the endpoints, which is spread across individuals working from various locations.

What needs improvement?

The right categorization of websites needs improvement. It is important for the solution to correctly categorize websites as genuine or non-genuine, fitting them into the right category.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Netskope for more than one and a half years.

What was my experience with deployment of the solution?

Our deployment experience was seamless, and we did not face any significant challenges.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

The connectivity is stable, with minor issues surrounding the blocking of government websites and website miscategorization.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

The solution is easy to scale for our use case and we have approximately 8,500 users working with it.

How are customer service and support?

The customer service and support are good. They align the right people at the right time to solve our problems, providing focused support.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Neutral

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

We evaluated Forcepoint and Zscaler before choosing Netskope.

How was the initial setup?

The initial setup is straightforward and generally easy. I would rate the setup nine out of ten.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The pricing is reasonable compared to other products.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

We evaluated Forcepoint and Zscaler.

What other advice do I have?

Netskope is a good product if it is configured intelligently. Having product knowledge is important before configuring, and the right deployment strategy should be in place. If properly strategized, it's a good product to adopt for businesses of any size. I rate the overall solution nine out of ten.

User-friendly console integrates robust security features for seamless traffic management

  • April 25, 2025
  • Review provided by PeerSpot

What is our primary use case?

I have been maintaining and monitoring internet and intranet traffic via Netskope. Our customers face issues like blocking of domains and URLs as they try to access and download files from various websites. They raise requests or tickets about this, and I use Netskope to manage these access requests.

What is most valuable?

Netskope serves as a single web console carrying out multiple functionalities: Zero Trust Network Architecture (ZTNA), Secure Web Gateway (SWG), Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB), Web DLP, and firewall services. I can toggle between these features on a single platform, enhancing ease of use. In comparison, Zscaler requires multiple consoles for managing similar features. Having these functionalities integrated into one dashboard makes Netskope efficient and user-friendly.

What needs improvement?

The limitations in Zero Trust's publisher sessions are a concern. Currently, it supports only between 15,000 to 32,000 sessions. There is a pressing need to expand this to 64,000 sessions, as current limitations often cause disconnections when accessing internet domains. Increasing this capacity could resolve many connectivity issues.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been working with Netskope for over three years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

Netskope has proven to be stable, which is reflected in my rating of nine out of ten. I have not encountered stability complaints.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

My experience is limited to Netskope in the SASE part, so although I find it scalable, I cannot compare it extensively with competitors. However, I would describe it as pretty good.

How are customer service and support?

The support team is excellent, and I would rate them nine out of ten.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Positive

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

In the past, I worked with Netskope in a different group, focusing on Netskope alongside firewalls.

How was the initial setup?

The setup process is very easy. I would rate it nine out of ten.

What about the implementation team?

I am both an implementer and a reseller of Netskope.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

Previously, I worked with Zscaler, which is similar in function to Netskope but operates on multiple consoles.

What other advice do I have?

Netskope's single dashboard makes it a lightweight and user-friendly solution. Businesses should consider Netskope to enhance operations, as its structure is likely to attract users. It provides valuable features within one platform, making it effective and appealing. I rate the solution nine out of ten.

The threat protection capabilities are beneficial, especially in reducing the load on email traffic by preventing phishing emails and providing malware protection from advanced threats. The easy deployment and configuration of the security policies make it a valuable solution.

What needs improvement?

A bit of latency is observed in some of the applications. In future updates, I would like to see improvements in latency, as well as enhancements in advanced threat protections. Specifically, the use of AI/ML for anomaly detection and dealing with signatureless advanced threats would be beneficial.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been using Netskope for almost a year.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

I would rate the stability of Netskope around eight out of ten.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Netskope is highly scalable and has supported our organization's growth without any challenges.

How are customer service and support?

I haven't encountered any major challenges with Netskope's technical support.

Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?

I previously worked with Zscaler, but I switched to Netskope due to an organizational change.

How was the initial setup?

The initial setup was smooth and easy. The installation and configuration were seamless, making it straightforward to deploy.

What about the implementation team?

The implementation was a distributed deployment with teams from different regions taking part. So, I can't provide an exact number of people involved.

What was our ROI?

In terms of cost savings, the solution is effective and comes at a lower cost compared to competitors like Zscaler.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

Netskope is cost-effective compared to similar solutions like Zscaler.

Which other solutions did I evaluate?

I have evaluated both Zscaler and Netskope, and found that both are leading solutions.

What other advice do I have?

I would rate the overall solution eight out of ten. Netskope is easy to deploy, with effective proxy solutions. It plays a critical role in cloud security, especially regarding the SASE framework and zero trust principles.

Enables differentiation of tenants in cloud applications, whether they are enterprise or personal

  • November 05, 2024
  • Review provided by PeerSpot

What is our primary use case?

Most of our customers use Netskope for application navigation and the protection of the public cloud, such as Office 365. We primarily work with it as a substitution for URL filtering, but the SASE solution provides more than just URL filtering.

What is most valuable?

Netskope provides real-time protection as all traffic is analyzed in line. With the client on the device communicating with the Netskope cloud, it allows for immediate protection.

Netskope is cloud-native, enabling differentiation of tenants in cloud applications, whether they are enterprise or personal, and provides control over shadow IT access.

It also has a behavior engine with robust rules and machine learning capabilities, including image analysis with OCR capabilities.

What needs improvement?

There is currently no DLP on-premises. If it's needed, it could be considered a missing feature. The integration with the network part, specifically the SD-WAN, is in development and might be available soon. They lack a cloud security posture management solution.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been working with Netskope for several years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

I find the solution stable.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Their infrastructure supports scalability well, and they declare an SLA regarding delays, making it a solid solution.

How are customer service and support?

Customer support is very good.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Positive

How was the initial setup?

The initial setup is quite straightforward and well-measured. On a scale from one to ten, I would rate the setup ease as eight.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

The cost is comparable to other vendors, and it depends on the customer's needs.

What other advice do I have?

Netskope started with a cloud-first approach, which makes it adaptable to the day-to-day changes that the cloud will generate.

I'd rate the solution nine out of ten.

Which deployment model are you using for this solution?

Recognizes different instances of SaaS applications and the activities people can do

  • August 08, 2024
  • Review provided by PeerSpot

What is our primary use case?

Our clients use Netskope because they want to move to a SaaS solution. They're using an increasing number of SaaS applications. An on-premises firewall or URL filter isn't sufficient anymore. Netskope is unique in recognizing different instances of SaaS applications and the activities people can do. They have more control over where their data goes.

What is most valuable?

The most valuable feature of Netskope is that it is a SaaS-delivered solution. It's somewhere running in the cloud, and there's no limitation in performance like you would have with hardware. You need to change hardware all the time.

However, this platform grows when your company grows, and you have more employees and more traffic. You don't need to think about that anymore. The solution also provides granular control over the SaaS applications that people are using.

It's like moving from URL filtering or a web proxy to a real CASB. Netskope takes it a step further by recognizing if you're logging into your corporate Office 365, a private one, or a competitor's Office 365.

What needs improvement?

The cloud firewall, which is one of Netskope's latest developments, could be improved further. I would like to see more threat protection in Netskope's Zero Trust Network Access. Functionality-wise, the solution's Zero Trust Network Access is a great replacement for VPNs. However, having more security functions in there would be nice.

For how long have I used the solution?

I have been working with Netskope for around five years.

What do I think about the stability of the solution?

I've never encountered an outage with Netskope. Everything was always working because its points of presence were very redundant. If its processes recognize that something in one point of presence might not be running as it should, you get redirected without knowing.

I rate the solution's stability ten out of ten.

What do I think about the scalability of the solution?

Our clients for Netskope are fairly big enterprises and government organizations. Netskope's scalability is perfect, and you don't have to think about it. It doesn't matter if you have 500 employees or 10,000 employees. The solution automatically grows. Their points of presence are overscaled and oversized, so they'll take care of that.

I rate the solution's scalability ten out of ten.

How are customer service and support?

Netskope's technical support is very good, but it's similar to the technical support of most other tools like Palo Alto or Check Point.

How would you rate customer service and support?

Positive

How was the initial setup?

The solution's initial setup is really easy, especially when you roll out the client. Migrating from an explicit proxy to their solution has exactly the same setup. Netskope easily integrates into any solution that you already have.

The solution's deployment time depends on what you want to include. If you need to migrate a very big web proxy configuration, Netskope has excellent professional services that will prepare configurations. So, it's ready to use directly. The slowness is not because of Netskope. It's because you need to have all your employees connected to the network, and this new software needs to be installed.

However, that can all be automated. You can have it running in minutes. Netskope already has a very good basic policy. If you're just doing the inline CASB, you roll out the Netskope Client or setup the explicit proxy and have a basic URL filtering policy that directly works.

If you have a couple of 1,000's employees, then, of course, it will take a while. You do it in bunches. People start up their laptops, install this new software, and it's there. Preparation-wise, it might take a few weeks, but the actual rollout is done as soon as people can run updates on their laptops.

On a scale from one to ten, where one is difficult and ten is easy, I rate the solution’s initial setup an nine out of ten.

What was our ROI?

We have seen a return on investment with Netskope because everything runs in the cloud. You don't need to think of the sizing. The solution's user interface is really simple and easy to manage. You don't need many people, hardware replacements, or shipping things. The tool is very efficient and saves a lot of time.

What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?

Netskope is a premium service, and its pricing ranges from medium to expensive. Netskope is in the top range when it comes to pricing. It all depends on the functionalities you require and get the licences for. The combined solution is more cost effective than a combination of other vendors point solutions.

What other advice do I have?

Netskope is a cloud-based solution. All its security functions run in a cloud. You only need to install a client to get the traffic to the cloud, set up an IPsec tunnel, or set up your explicit proxy to get the traffic through the cloud.

You don't need to install anything on-prem except when you use their SD-WAN solution. We're talking about the CASB side. They also have an SD-WAN solution.

Overall, I rate the solution an eight out of ten.
