Solid platform for implementing webhooks

What do you like best about the product?
We were able to leverage Ably to build out a webhook delivery pipeline for our product in roughly 3 months. The Ably platform handles most of the complexity around reliably delivering webhook events to many consumers, allowing us to quickly deliver new value to our customers with a minimum amount of time and effort.
What do you dislike about the product?
We had a few hiccups along the way to delivering the production solution, but Ably was able to resolve everything satisfactorily.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ably manages the complexities of delivering events to a large number of consumers, including handling retries, reliable delivery, scaling, and performance. It has enabled us to deliver reliable and performant solutions quickly and removed much of the ongoing maintenance burden from our team.

What do you like best about the product?
Ably provides a simple API that hides the complexity of delivering scalable and reliable push-based communication to web clients. We use Ably for syncing state updates and CRDT deltas across clients and the backend. Ably offers excellent customer support and actively engages with their clients. We've had the opportunity to provide feedback and contribute to shaping upcoming features.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Ably usage limits can be difficult to understand and plan around. When hitting one of the limits, the entire plan may have to be upgraded.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ably solves the problem of building a realtime communication infrastructure required for delivering a realtime web application. This enables us to focus on feature development and shipping user value.

Not much. Some technical areas could be improved, and a more standard pricing model could be. Overall not much to complain.

Reliable, easy to use service for realtime messaging

What do you like best about the product?
Ably allows us to have globaly distrubuted, reliable, realtime messaging for our application without developing it ourselves and managing all the points of presence around the world. Avoiding that opportunity cost is a huge benefit to us, it allows us to focus on our core mission.
What do you dislike about the product?
Our software platform is primarily is primarily B2B, Ably has a lot of B2C realtime capabilities that are not really applicable to our use case. That is not really an issue with Ably as such, overall we are happy with the service.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is one of our primary mechanisms for direct client to client messaging. Ably provides low latancy messaging between users, with the added benefit of having those same messages appear in our backend.

What do you like best about the product?
Ably Platform is developer-centric and easy to start with. Documentation is detailed enough, while Ably Realtime SDK offers native support for the most popular programming languages and platforms. The best thing about Ably is the flexibility on both the publisher and the consumer side. Ably Support is responsive and helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Ably Realtime has some hard limits that are not too high and could easily be hit, such as max channels per connection. Connection management is not simple, so you should be careful when designing your Ably channels naming strategy. A feature I miss and will request is to be able to optionally force consumers to subscribe with 'presence' turned on so that all consumers can easily be tracked.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ably solves the problem of scalability when delivering data streams on a global level. We do not have to worry about it and can focus on delivering our core business features.

What do you like best about the product?
Ably's support has been great for us. We have a shared chat channel where all representatives from Ably are active, and they've always helped us promptly when questions and issues arise.
What do you dislike about the product?
The SDK by default throws quite a few errors that are up to the user to handle in a correct way, which makes it more complicated than expected to get to a watertight setup.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Realtime data communication between clients. It's great to rely on an infrastructure maintained by experts, so we can focus on other things.

What do you like best about the product?
Ability to have Channels within channel. Push notification delivery through Ably for both ios and android platform. History API.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lack of Enterprise dasboard to monitor and troubleshoot. Extra cost for History query. However the datadog integration allows us to mitigate this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Async update to mobile clients and push notifications.

What do you like best about the product?
Ably is a great product being versatile and scalable. It delivers our messages in real-time for a wide range of applications and implementations. Also, super friendly people who are there for us! :)
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the pricing plans become a little bit stiff-legged for us. On the other hand, there are great price planning tools available, where we can check prices for any usage.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Ably for building chats, sending notifications, backend communication, and more. It feels good to have Ably available when ever there is a message that needs to be delivered.

What do you like best about the product?
Stable service. We barely meet our users with problems.
What do you dislike about the product?
When I adjust to a lower package. I spend time on waiting for our invoice. But after manager Vincent involved, it become faster.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
1. Our communication system, ex: comment in our live room or chat with users etc.
2. Real-time communication between app and backend.

benefits:
1. We don't need to build a Pubsub service, and it reduces our maintenance of human resources and cloud services.
2. Users can interact on the same channel.
