Disappointed

Perfect AMI for my use case but I am unable to remote into the instance. SSHing with the prescribed username "admin" results in the following error.

Received disconnect from x.x.x.x port 22:2: Too many authentication failures
Disconnected from x.x.x.x port 22

The correct pem file is used and all ports from all addresses were opened to remove any variables from the error.

Tried with the 6/2020 version and it worked just perfectly fine.

Hi Mike. Please reach out to the debian-cloud@lists.debian.org mailing list for help logging in to the Debian ARM images in EC2. Ssh authentication is a basic feature that is well tested, and we'd be very interested in helping you to understand what's going wrong. You may also wish to review the AWS documentation on setting up SSH keys at https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AWSEC2/latest/UserGuide/ec2-key-pairs.html#prepare-key-pair Also verify, using either in the AWS console or AWS commandline tools, that you configured the instance to use the expected keypair when you launched it.
