Great Product | Easy to Use
What do you like best about the product?
The best part of the Automation Anywhere platform is the ease of use. As a "lowercase d" developer, I appreciate how configuring a bot is simple, but with enough extensibility to allow for some complex processes. What once was a simple screen scraper has grown into a full-blown automation and workflow engine.
What do you dislike about the product?
The training course suggested for the Advanced cert did not adequately cover the topics in the cert. While I passed, I felt the cert focused solely on the administrative/user management side of the platform, and did not cover the important tasks of building/deploying/scheduling bots.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
On day one, we were able to write a bot in a few hours that saved over 50 hours of FTE labor on a tedious/manual process. We are well on our way to recouping the expense...and we are still in our first few months of installing to the newest version.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Do not be overwhelmed. There is a lot to know and learn, but it's really a very big toolbox of tools that can be leveraged quickly. Don't guess, learn...and you will be able to create amazing bots in no time to do very complex things Karen in your office never dreamed of getting done.
Automation Anywhere's RPA technology is fantastic for building low code solutions quickly
What do you like best about the product?
AA's RPA technology is very easy to learn and implement to quickly deliver solutions. We have found that we can build functional solutions in under a week and refine them to near perfection within two weeks. The software is highly intuitive with the ability to plug and play and drag and drop. If one particular method doesn't work, there's always several other ways to accomplish the same task within their software. It's especially great for bridging data systems, for example exporting data from one system as an Excel sheet and then inputting each record in the file into another system via a web form. It has allowed our workers to move on from their repetitive, monotonous tasks as our bots take over these tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that sometimes the bots will encounter some inconsistencies and fail. So it becomes an iterative process where you run the bots many times over and refine the methods you use until it's extremely consistent. We have found that we can eventually tweak the bots to a high level of reliability and it's quite easy to add error handling or event handling for common situations that the bot may encounter. Some features need to be refined to work better but we are confident that the AA team will continue to improve their product and its many functions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have a couple interesting use cases that were just completed. We've built out a bot that can hit a site to look for business opportunities, collect them into spreadsheets, and disseminate the data. Previously several employees needed to do this manually multiple times a day, and it was extremely tedious. The bot has removed this monotonous process from their plate so they can focus on actually jumping on proposals and business development. In another use, we are using a bot to absorb data from a CSV file from one system and then enter the data of each record into a web form of another system. This too was a very tedious, mundane task that our employees did not enjoy doing. The bots handle this task much more quickly and with deadly accuracy. These employees can use their time to perform more critical tasks that involve more human or cognitive elements.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Be patient and take their training courses. There is a slight learning curve, but its quite easy to learn once you start building out a simple task. Any issues you have can be addressed by googling the issue and finding a community discussion on the topic, or by reaching out to AA themselves.
RPA Automation has been a good experience ever since the latest update to version 11.3.
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use for excel manipulations. Easy to train users that are novice at programming.
What do you dislike about the product?
Object cloning with resolution dependencies.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving problems for automating end to end solutions with minimal to no user interactions. The major benefits that we saw are accuracy as Bots do not make mistakes.

The best part that I liked was the different types of bots that can be created and major thing was Computer vision and IQ bots that are of great help.

There are many commands but few ones that are of frequent use is not present like some of the commands for excel automation.

I have tried to automate few of the daily process with Automation anywhere and have benefited because of the schedules and all.
Fantastic software
What do you like best about the product?
Automation anywhere has changed the way i work completely. Its helped me speed up day to day manual tasks ans saves me sending out set emails. i love the OCR and Image recognition features. its helped me out massively with data extraction using the web record feature and the IF function allows me to always validate my data. i also really like the PDF extractor that allows you to convert PDF files to excel documents or text documents. it reduces manual labour by at least 80%, and really helps boost staff morale as staff are no longer doing tedious repetitive tasks.
What do you dislike about the product?
if i was being really critical id say the only thing i don't like about automation anywhere is the cost it is slightly expensive but again i can't fault it for what it does. The other issue i have with it is certain windows are not recognised while using desktop applications such as buttons and drop down menus, but there is other ways to get around it using keystrokes. Automation Anywhere also struggles to perform object record tasks and can work throught tasks pretty fast wich mans if it works through a step too quick it can crash or miss extracting valuable information.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
it has helped me with extracting data from my manufacturing sites, allowed me to send out emails on time and really helped out with data entry onto my website. is great for using on desktop applications and i love the fact that everything i do whilst writing out a task i can validate it using an IF function. its helped me get better data and more organised data, this has helped me and saved me time and hassle of formatting data once i have extracted the required information from my manufacturing sites. Its saved alot of manual labour allowing other members of the team to get on with more important tasks instead of wasting days entering data manually. Another problem solved using automation anywhere is a desktop application that would alwasy log itself out if it was not in use. with automation anywhere i can now shedule the program to be logged in everytime it logs its self out without having to restart the application.

Definitely worth buying its helped improve our business massively and its changed the way we work as a business completely, speeding up processes, reducing manual labour, accurate data and always on time.

What do you like best about the product?
Ability to quickly model and move to production simple workflows. Able to get business saving within weeks of starting a project to automate a formally manual data entry process.
What do you dislike about the product?
No real dislikes as to the use of the product

Benefits include fewer data entry errors, moving staff from transactional to audit and review work. Once a basic process has been automated to keep the business running, my staff can look at implementing transformational changes to add value to the firm, as they now have the time to re-invent how the business delivers service to internal and external customers

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of implementing the solutions and robotic bot creation using Robotic Process Automation, Bot Builder, Security Purpose and scalability of the product. The stable functionalities, enterprise security and comprehensive feature offered are a major benefits that the tool offers. It provides web based device support, IOS device support with different customer types support like thorough phone or online. It is a user friendly tool which is very much important in todays time where we need less complexities and efforts in understanding any tool meeting all the requirements as expected.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the commands in excel are not embedded properly and need to be modified like add rows to excel, delete excel sheets etc. It is little costly tool.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have created small bots that help in inserting scripts easily and automating the UI with the help of which we have reduced the time required for manual process. This has in turn helped in focusing on other important tasks. The Visual Editor, Workflow recording, Pre Built templates, Custom Automation for Automation Building are excellent. Bot Management and execution features such as bot scheduling, Embedded AI, Bot performance analytics help in easy automation. The best part is same Bot can be used by multiple users for different purpose and this scalability feature makes the work even more easier and less time taking and more efficient and accurate.

Try Hands on along with with learning which will help in easy implementation. This tool has a lot many thing to explore

What do you like best about the product?
Automation anywhere (AA) not only provides enterprise level automation capabilities, it also provides necessary know how to be able to use them effectively. The platform has a very helpful and easy interface to achieve business productivity goals. I have worked with similar platforms and I find AA to be more than sufficient to handle most of the RPA tasks. Great thing is that it continues to evolve and add new dimensions to its platform. Its very easy to learn, to implement and to manage. Teams can be fairly enabled to implement RPA based solutions without much hassle.
What do you dislike about the product?
It needs to provide more inbuilt capability to automate infra monitoring.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have created AA solutions to automate document filling and Approval tracking purposes. It helps me in keeping track of various stages in approval management. We also had a specific release management process which involved various set of documents coming from various teams. The process to manage those documents included their manual verification and uploading information coming through a template. Manual processing meant that there was always a need to recheck and verify the received document and the information extracted from it. The use of AA helped us to automate this verification, extraction and finally storing these documents for faster and error free process implementation.

Automation Anywhere provides a brilliant opportunity to ensure business continuity with its state of the art functional automation platform which helps in automating tasks that range form very basic to fairly complex. This helps in not only achieving greater effectiveness but helps is creating a more creative environment as the team can focus on important stuff. AA provides easy to use tools, functionalities and documentation to ensure a robust enterprise solution. It also provides immensely useful administration mechanism and user control.
